The Presentation

The Blog

_______ Summarize facts, statistics, points, quotes from the article

The Feature Article should

_______ introduce topic in a thoughtful manner (narration, description, definition, interesting data, etc.)

_______ provide background information or history (when did people become concerned / interested about this issue?)

_______ explain how this topic affects us today (why are people interested now?  why should we care?)

_______summarize and synthesize your findings over the course of the year to explain the current trends of your topic.

_______ project future developments and implications

(this does not have to be presented in past, present, future order).

_______ Cite to 8 - 12 articles in the above section using MLA format.  Paraphrase or use quotes.  (put the author or organizations last name in parentheses at the end of the sentence.

        ex: The National Institute of health reported 3 out of 10 people visit the emergency room due to stress.

_______ Include at least one interview of a person relevant to your topic. Work 3-5 quotes from the interview into your article.

In addition you will be graded on the following style elements:
