Copying a Moodle Class/Site to Another Moodle Class/Site
You can “copy” any of your Moodle sites that you can edit to a new Moodle site or merge with another Moodle site.
In the Moodle site you want to COPY, choose Backup from the Administration block. | |
Click Next at bottom of window. | |
In the next window, click Next at the bottom. | |
In the next window, click Perform Backup at the bottom. | |
A progress status is displayed - the backup is in progress and may take some time. | |
When The backup file was successfully created. message appears at the bottom of the window, click Continue. | |
Navigate to your Moodle course/site you wish to PASTE the copy of your site. | |
Choose Restore from the Administration block. | |
Locate the copy of your Moodle site in the User private backup area. The files are name with backup-moodle2-course followed by a number preceding the course code for your Moodle site followed by numbers representing the date and time of the site backup. Course codes are based on the course number and section followed by the semester and year. For example, REL1921401-fall-14 course code in Moodle reflects the course listed in WebAdvisor as REL19-214-01 for Fall 2014. | |
Click Restore to the right of the copy of your Moodle site. | |
Click Continue at bottom of window. | |
Click Continue under the top area titled Restore into this course. | |
Click Next at the bottom of the window. | |
In the next window, click Next at the bottom. | |
Click Perform restore at the bottom of the window. | |
A progress status is displayed - the restore is in progress and may take some time. | |
When The course was restored successfully... message appears at the bottom of the window, click Continue. |
Copying a Moodle Class/Site to Another Moodle Class/Site of
