  • R2-D2 Astromech: At the start of the place forces step, place 3 shields on this card. After you reveal your dial, you may gain a weapons disabled token, if you do, remove 1 shield token from this card and place it on your pilot card up to your base shield value.
  • Concord Dawn Protector: While you defend, if the attack range is 1 and you are in the attacker's primary firing arc, change 1 result to an Evade result.
  • Advanced Targeting Computer: While you perform a primary attack against a defender you have locked, roll 1 additional attack die and change 1 hit result to a critical hit result.
  • Fearlessness: While you perform a primary weapon attack from your primary firing arc, if the attack is at range one and you are in the defender's primary firing arc, you may change one of your results to a hit result
  • Jumpmaster 5000: The Barrel roll action now gives you a stress.
  • “Deathfire”: After you are destroyed, before you are removed, you may perform an attack and drop or launch 1 equipped bomb.
  • Pivot Wing (Open): Before you activate you may flip this card. While you defend increase your agility by 1.
  • Pivot Wing (Closed): After you execute a (0 stop) maneuver, you may rotate your ship 90 or 180 degrees. Before you activate, you may flip this card.
  • Stygium Particle Accelerator: After you decloak, you may perform an Evade action. At the start of the End Phase, you may spend 1 evade token to gain 1 cloak token.
  • Optimized Prototype: While you perform a Primary front firing arc attack against a ship locked by a friendly ship with the Director Krennic upgrade, you may spend 1 [hit / crit / focus] result. If you do, choose one: the defender loses 1 shield or the defender flips 1 of its facedown damage cards.
  • [Advanced Slam]: After you perform a (SLAM) action, if you fully executed the maneuver, you may perform an action on your action bar, then recieve one stress.
  • [Moldy Crow]: Gain a (front arc) primary weapon with a value of “3.” During the End Phase, do not remove up to 2 focus tokens. Your action bar gains Jam and Boost actions. After you perform a Jam or Boost action gain 1 stress token.
  • Servomotor S-Foils: this is now a ‘title’ card and no longer takes the modification slot.
  • Slave 1: Your action bar gains the Boost Icon and loses the evade icon. If you are not stressed, when you reveal a 3 speed turn right or 3 speed turn left maneuver, you may treat it as a red 3 speed talon roll in the same direction.
  • The Following ships MAY use the Medium base [proxy using Uwing from saw’s renegades or TIE Reaper expansions cardboard and plastic bases]
  • U-Wing, Firespray, Mist Hunter, Aggressor (IG), Kimogila, ARC-170, K-wing, Scurrg and Punisher.

Mechanics

The Following Mechanics have changes:

  • TIE Reaper: You MUST use the TIE Reaper Medium base and 2nd Edition Dial. Continue to use TIE Reaper first edition pilots.
  • Bombs:
  • Every legal bomb is now dropped after planning phase, and before activation phase (system phase in 2.0). In Pilot Skill order (decloaking happens in that phase as well), every ship drops its bomb before any ships are activated to move. If there is a tied Pilot Skill, then player with Initiative drops their bomb First.
  • Decloaking: You have to align the middle of the maneuver template with the middle of your ship and place it in one of 3 positions, All the way forward, All the way back, or directly across.
  • Evade token: only changes a die result to an evade result when spending.
  • Jam: A ship in range 1 gets 1 Jam token. Jam tokens are removed at end of round clean up phase
  • Reload action: choose one of the ship's equipped, discarded Torpedo or Missile Upgrade cards and flip them faceup, if already face up assign a ordnance token, then assign the ship a weapons disabled token. Number of ordnance tokens can not exceed number assigned during setup phase.
  • Barrel roll action: You have to align the middle of the maneuver template with the middle of your ship and place it in one of 3 positions, All the way forward, All the way back, or directly across.
  • Reinforce token: the whole ship has to be fully in the front arc or fully behind your ship, reduce damage taken during the assign damage step by one to a minimum of 1 damage taken. If the Ship is split between arcs, the token cannot be used.
  • All torpedo, missile, and bomb upgrade card receives one ordnance token on during setup. When you are instructed to discard an upgrade card, you may discard one ordnance token on that card instead. (Everything gets extra munitions) to a maximum of three.
  • Target Lock: When acquiring a Target Lock, player may measure to all potential targets within range 1-3 the ship acquiring. Select one target within range 1-3 and assign a red target lock token. If the selected target is outside of range 1-3, and there is a potential target in range 1-3 of the acquiring ship, it must be assigned to any potential target. If there is no potential target then action is a failed action.
  • Turrets: When firing an equipped secondary weapon outside of the primary firing arc or Primary Weapon Turret, if the defender is outside of the attacker’s primary arc, the defender may roll one additional defense die to a maximum of 5. The VCX-100’s back arc counts as a primary arc for the purposes of this ruling.
  • Tractor tokens: Small, medium, and large ships can get repositioned with tractor tokens. Small base ship still require 1 tractor token, medium base ships require 2 tractor tokens, and large base ships require tractor 3 tokens.
  • Medium and Large base ships are barrel rolled using the length of the template large/medium ship barrel roll resulting in one of the three legal positions.
  • Ion:
  • Planning Phase: The owner does not assign a maneuver dial to this ship.
  • Activation Phase: The owner moves the ship as if it were assigned a Green [STRAIGHT 1] maneuver. After executing this maneuver, remove all ion tokens from the ship. It may then perform only a Focus action.
  • small ships get ionized with 1 ion token, medium with 2 and large with 3.
  • Failed Actions:
  • “Target lock” after you declare a target lock if there is no potential target, then the action is a failed action and you cannot perform another action.
  • “Barrel Roll” after you declare and attempt a barrel roll, if it cannot legally fit on the declared side of the ship it is returned to its original location and you cannot perform another action
  • “Boost” After you declare and attempt a Boost action, if it cannot legally fit then it is a failed action and you cannot perform another action.
  • “Jam” after you declare and attempt a jam action, if there is no potential target in range, then the action is a failed action and you cannot perform another action.

FAQ

Ships with a Primary Turret don't give the defender an extra green die when firing out of the printed firing arc?

Primary Weapon turrets such as the YT1300 have to be pointing their forward facing primary firing arc at the declared target in order to prevent the extra green die

Turret upgrades count as secondary weapons for purposes of the extra die?

Turret upgrades such as Ion Cannon Turret as well as Outrider titled YT2400 shooting outside of their primary forward facing Primary Firing arc count as Secondary weapons fired out of the primary firing arc and give a bonus green dice to the defender.

Does Nera Dantels firing a secondary weapon grant the extra die for firing a outside of their forward facing arc?

Yes, If Nera fires a torpedo at a target outside of the primary firing arc then the defender will get the extra defense die in line with the other out-of-arc weapon ruling.

Does the Mobile Firing Arc of the Lancer-class pursuit craft grant the extra out-of-arc die?

No, this is a pointed arc that enables some counter play. Second Edition has mobile arcs as a primary mechanic, getting used to and understanding these are important. 

Can a VCX-100 fire out of the special rear arc without the Phantom actively docked?

Only if they meet the requirements to shoot an equipped torpedo from it.

Does the VCX-100’s special rear arc count as a primary weapon arc for the defender’s dice pool?

Yes, if the VCX shoots at the defender with an equipped secondary turret weapon while it is in the special rear facing arc then the defender will not get the extra defensive die.

What does a Failed action mean?

If an action could not be completed, then its a failed action, and no further action can be performed during that activation.

Can I use the Push The Limit upgrade card if my first action failed?

No. Once you have failed an action you can not perform another action.

If I used the Push The Limit upgrade card and my second action fails, do I gain the stress from Push The Limit?

No, but you cannot attempt another action this round.

Do secondary weapons get attack range modifiers?

No. Secondary weapons roll the number of red dice on the printed card rules unless increased by abilities in game such as Jan Ors Pilot.

After executing an Ion maneuver can I perform an action that is not focus?

No.

Is Maul Banned for both Rebel and Scum faction?

Yes. the card is banned due to its passive offensive modification not just the synergy with Ezra.

When does Reinforce effect take place?

During the compare dice results step reduce damage taken to a minimum of 1.

Can Omega Leader “Turn Off” Reinforce with their pilot ability?

Yes.

Does the ordnance token for 1.5 stack with Extra Munitions?

Yes, however the Maximum for ordnance tokens is 3.

Does the ordnance token for 1.5 stack with Ordnance silos?

No, the Maximum tokens for ordnance is 3.

What order do players drop bombs in the system phase?

First lowest Pilot skill. Player with Initiative drops first in case of tied Pilot Skill.

What order do players decloak in the system phase?

First lowest Pilot skill. Player with Initiative decloaks first in case of tied Pilot Skill.

When does “Launching” take place, using Trajectory Simulator?

System phase.

Do the cards under the ‘Errata’ header keep their original text in any way?

No, all of the cards under errata are to be played as if they’re printed text matches Errata section. For example, to regenerate using R2D2 you no longer have to execute a green maneuver and Director Krennic / Optimized prototype no longer grants a lock, nor does it grant an extra shield.

What number of ordnance tokens are refreshed when using the reload action?

Player chooses one equipped ordnance and refreshes one token on that ordnance, and assigns the weapons disabled token to their ship.

If I put Expert Handling on a Jumpmaster 5000, is that Barrel roll also red?

No, as long as you perform the ‘expert handling’ action and not the red barrel roll action you will not receive a stress.

Can I spend my targetlock when using Advanced Targeting Computer to change my Hit to a Crit?

Yes, Only after modifying your HIT to the Crit. You may then spend the targetlock to re-roll any of your attack dice. However, you can not change the Hit to a Crit after spending the targetlock.

How does the M13-L Kimogila bullseye work in 1.5?

When attacking, if the defender is inside your bullseye firing arc, the defender cannot spend focus or evade tokens to modify defense dice.

Can I use Cikatro Vizago crew to discard an equipped illicit and equip a banned illicit?

No, no in-game effect allows the use of banned cards.

For the purposes of ‘Cross-fire formation’ upgrade, are the ships included in the faction reorganization considered Resistance?

Yes. All legal Resistance ships are considered Resistance ships.

With the change to advanced slam after I perform the action, can I push the limit after the action and then receive two stress?

No, for the purposes of clarity, after the action given by advanced slam, receive the stress before any other effects.

Can I use ‘Small Ship Only’ upgrades on ships that ‘May’ be medium base?

The following ships can use small ship only upgrades while on Medium bases:
