Presentation of recommendation and next steps by the rebranding work group.

Summary of group recommendations, option 1 proposed

As part of the approach the branding group has consulted continuously within and with non club stakeholders in seeking and using feedback, this has included discussing in advance the down selected design idea as input to the brand group July period working meetings.

Outcomes

Decision - submit the colourway to BC South.
Decision - continue with Kalas as the primary supplier (diverse, innovative range, good value options) and start the detailed kit design phase. Continue with NoPinz as an additional supplier (“whatever, whenever, delivered to you supplier)
Feedback - clarify and revisit priorities and what can be delivered viz sponsorship, notably not to lose clarity wrt teh club kit.
Decision - gather the old kit for donation via Kalas to developing cycling clubs as part of a swap/ replace.
Feedback - in the detailed kit design phase ensure the kit remains distinct, notably to help racers in events; Keep the CLUB Logo clear alongside additional details/ any sponsor logos
Decision - Gareth Fiford will work to take over Kit from Beth & Mark during the completion of the detailed design.

Proposal “turn off the forwarding of emails from "co.uk email addresses?” All accounts now updated?? And transfer the .co.uk domain to OVI to conclude the migration deferred since Q1. This will also save £12 per month basic plan hosting with PAC.

Raised by Harry - Club representatives to The BC South Regional AGM will be held 5/9/2024, , 7pm hybrid and in person (LockLeaze Sports Centre, Bristol BS7 9XF ). To confirm the club representatives that are able to participate, whether attendance in person/ or online. Liz Hodges has sent a calling notice and posted online.

24th June - 124th Anniversary Sunday Club Ride (packed 😀 well hosted at Woodies, msg of appreciation sent to Mel and Terry)
16th June BC - creating an Inclusive and welcoming environment. Video available via Alan Collins, concrete / practical actions that have produced results to grow membership and diversity.

Amount for Ringfencing for 125 Celebration funds agreed at AGM as £1500. Payment Control by the Club Trustees has been set up for the 'Bank Bus Instant' account. Transfer will be made once access has been confirmed – (still outstanding)

Road - Tim Lawn/Ken Houlberg

Congratulations to Ben Elvin for gaining his cat 2 licence recently. Racing continues at Mountbatten and around the region.

Club participation is relatively low compared to recent years with only 11 members scoring points so far this season, down from 15 last year. This is most notable amongst female racers with at least 3 ladies racing regularly last year compared to just one racer in one race so far

Time trial - David Knight

Numbers have been down throughout the year across all clubs hosting club TT's in the region. PNECC and FWCC are planning on reducing the number of their events by half for next year, hopefully this will result in fewer but better attended events. I will ask HRC what their plans are and try an ensure that between us there is 1 TT a week in the district

Sunday Club Ride Summary

Continued regular new starters with come and tries. Consistent good turn out on

Sundays with 3 or 4 groups most weeks.

Bob Beaching stepped in during July providing interim cover for club captain.

Come and try systems are working with high levels of conversion to full membership.

Consistently good participation to Circles, 25+; up to 37. End of daylight rate as August.

July Social evening held at the Brewhouese, info provided to the Newsletter. Next event is the end of year and the Square Tower, Sunday 17th November.

Bob Beeching has completed his DBS and is progressing with online training for completion q3.
Regional Youth Work Group restarting, Liz Hodges - request received for a club rep. (None avails Coaching Coord role remains vacant.

Newsletters produced and published for July and August - thanks to Bob and all contributors.

Request for support posted 11th Aug to support the posting or content. Andy is ready to hand over due commitments with his Ultra Cycling, training, events and you tube channel.
