Exchange of information
- Update on the productive portal of Swiss open government data ("opendata.swiss")
- I know a female lawyer in Lausanne whom I have asked if she could fancy to join. Might be interesting for her. Would it be for us?
- Besides, Nothing special
- Finance handover with Barnaby scheduled for Nov 9, with Hannes and André
- Will hold the Open Data presentation at Uni Zurich for Data Journalists on Nov 12.
- Was in touch with Giorgio with regards to an event. Giorgio might be involved in Opendata.ch/2016
- Is working on Open Data in his professional environment, among others he is collaborating with “Trendspotting” etc.
- Simon Chignard? (-> thanks Antoine for adding your information here)
- Setting dates for upcoming year: Do we stick first Tuesdays of the month, starting on February 2nd 2016. Muriel will send out invites and plan accordingly.
- Board Retreat to be planned for January/February, afternoon, Bern, probably Friday
- FYI: Muriel will be on holidays from November 14 until December 6. Thanks André for setting up the agenda for the next meeting
Planning of Opendata.ch/2016 (Muriel et al.)
- Give input for conference program to Muriel (in order to collect ideas and afterwards invite keynote speakers early enough)
- Meeting to be planned for next week with orga committee (Hannes, Antoine, André, probably Yann, Muriel)
- Learnings from last year’s conference
- Diverstiy in general (regarding gender and language)
- Workshops taking place simultaneously (obviously our program was too good. Zitat: “Zu viel Interessantes auf einmal!“ , "Zu viele interessante Workshops parallel "-> suggestion: create program where people can attend two different workshops in the afternoon
- More time for questions
- Suggestion: Narrow the focus of the conference on 2-3 concrete subjects
- Make list of participants available to the public (e.g. participants need to agree to this in advance in the registration process)
- Hand out a brochure with extended information about the program/workshops/speakers
- Have more information on nametags of participants (e.g. Institution) & bigger nametags in general
- Thanks to Mirjam Läderach & the Forschungsstelle Digitale Nachhaltigkeit for the evaluation of the surveys!
