You should join band because you can learn different notes. Band is also fun I play trombone + advanced music. When I tried to play trombone I was so bad I was thinking about quitting. However I got better so I was thinking about trombone practice close to KCC. My other teacher helped me with my sound because I was breathing through my noise. If you think it takes years of practice it does you. So can master band if you pass at least first try you will have a good future. Just chose what instrument you want and go big have fun if you chose band and good luck.
You should join band and you know why? Because it’s so fun in here. In 6th grade band you get to pick your instrument. You can either be a Clarinetist, a Cornetist, a Trombonist, a Flutist or a Percussionist. I chose to play the Cornet but I am going to try out for percussion when the try outs come. When I first started band I was nervous and then I realized that it was very easy. You get to play a concert in front of your family. That may sound scary but really if you play the percussion or any brass you're all the way in the back. Some songs that you play are March Across the Seas and Banana Boat and etc. Plus if you fail a lot of classes then join band because Band is an easy A. So join band please.
You should do band because it is SUPER fun. You can play songs with your friends and you can learn to play almost any song! You can also learn to play many different instruments like the tuba, trombone, flute, percussion instruments (drums), trumpet and saxophone. I play tuba and so far it is really fun. I’m glad I joined Band. :)
Band is one of the greatest things I have ever done. As soon as I blew in the mouthpiece of my trombone I felt satisfied. I love the sensation of moving my slide back and forth and blowing into my mouthpiece. When I first held it, it was cold but once I learned how to play it, it was the key to warm my heart. When I was first trying out the instruments just holding each and everyone of them felt great. I didn’t think that I was going to do band, but as soon as I held the instruments I knew that I should and you should too. Being in band could help with coping skills, if you are upset you get out your instrument and just blow! (but with your parents permission) .Playing piano just let me glide across the keys and made me feel like I was dancing, and I know it will for you too. Although you cannot be first chair in middle school, you can in high school and brag to all of your friends. The band concerts are really fun, and the songs are just phenomenal. Being able to pass the quizzes made me feel really good because it told me I could do it, and i could play the trombone. Why do computers when you could have fun in band learning how to play any song you want? Every new note makes you feel like you could play anything because you know you are getting further and further. Learning band a beautiful experience where all of the band members become family, and I know you will like it too.
Band is really fun. There is a lot of things that you guys will enjoy. What is really fun about band is that we get to play, be with friends, perform in concerts. I’ve learned so much and had lots of fun. My instrument is the trombone. I chose it because my sister recommended it to me. When I started band I was really nervous and I didn’t think anybody would do the same instrument as me but I was wrong. There were a lot of people doing the trombone. You should join band because you can play in concerts and play for your parents and have fun.There are a lot of instruments out there that are very good.And once in the grade you can play for the 5th graders.And maybe even play for one of your brothers and sisters.And the teachers are very nice and cool.First it may sound boring,but when you get later in the year,it gets very very fun.And maybe even go on a field trip to Washington D.C. and Florida.
Why you should do band? When I started band I picked the trombone for my instrument and I loved it. When I started band I thought I would not be able to learn how to play, or even know the notes of each and every song we played. I was so nervous that I would mess everything up. But after a while when we learned some notes I got better and loved band. The first test we did that we had to play for the class by ourselves was very nerve racking.
I was scared that I would embarrass myself. But while I played I felt better and did so well I got an A on the test. We had our very first concert coming up and we practiced hard for the concert to sound so much better than when we first started band. The day of the concert at we got to practice at the high school and skip some school, it was exciting that we would have a concert and show our talent to inspire people. We played so many songs like Banana Boat, Indigo Rock, and lots more. Listening to the songs while you play is mouth watering. This is why you should do band next year.
You should join band for the following reasons: It is really cool to learn how to play a new instrument, band is something that you must learn to play together not just play at the same time, band is a class where you are kind of on a team. Band is truly awesome.
Do you want to know why it is really cool how to play a new instrument? It is really cool because you get to learn how to make your own music. You will be super surprised how much better you get. It is really fun to practice and hear how much you get better each time. You can strive to be the best, you can get really good or even be the best, it will really help your band out. When you realize you are so much better than you were at the beginning, it will seriously make you smile and be proud of yourself, that is something you don’t need to hide.
When you are in band you have to learn that playing together and playing at the same time are two totally different things. You must learn to play your part to make the music sound good. Each instrument has it’s own part. You must learn that. You may get to play with your group while no other instrument is playing, that is really cool when you do. You have to know how to play YOUR part. You have to be polite to others too, You must learn and let others learn to be in band.
One other reason you should join band is because Mr. Driver is really nice and helpful. They make it really easy to learn how to play a new instrument. I can tell you this for a fact because I used to not be able to play an E on the cornet, but now I can play a middle C, which is six notes higher than an E. I would never have even known that the cornet was an instrument (I would have called it a trumpet) without Mr. Driver.
One thing you must remember is that you are on a team. If one person doesn’t sound quite right, the whole band doesn’t sound quite right. You can make some really good friends. It is really not hard to make friends because many of them have some of the same interests as you.
I think my favorite song that I have learned so far is banana boat song. It is one of the songs that you do for your first concert. You will be very surprised when you find out how quick and easy the concert is. It seems hard at first, but it really isn’t. It is really fun and everyone is excited for it. It is one of the most fun things about band.
These are the reasons you should join band, and I didn’t list all of them. You should do this. It is really fun, you make so many new friends, You have a team you belong to and Mr. Driver is super awesome!
Oh 6th grade band it is a really good experience for someone who has been interested in playing an instrument. Band will teach you some of the basics in the beginning like how to play and what are the name of the valves. But near the middle of band you learn fun songs like the Banana Boat song.
But there are some negatives as well. For starters you need to practice a lot but practice make perfect. Also you need to carry your instrument around but it's not a big deal. But with band you also get to have really fun concerts with all the other instruments. So you should join band because it is fun.
Well first I picked the trombone as my instrument. Part of the reason why I picked the trombone was that my mom played it in Middle School and High School. I also picked it because I couldn’t make a sound out of the clarinet or flute so I was going to have to do brass. I had the decision between the cornet and the trombone. I thought that the mouthpiece on the cornet was too small so I decided to go with the trombone. When I started band I was super excited, but a little nervous. I was excited to meet new friends, learn how to read music and and learn how to play my instrument. But I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to learn quick enough or something like that. But once we started it was actually really easy.
We just had a band concert about two months ago and it went really great. We played five songs. We also played one song for each instrument. The songs that we played were March Across The Seas, Procession, Banana Boat Song, Boogie Blues, and Indigo Rock.Some of the songs that we have learned are the Frog Song, Baja Breeze, Bingo Variations, etc. Mr Driver is very awesome he is my teacher.. Mr Driver is one of my favorite teachers. He makes jokes all the time a lot of them are puns! He also can roast you so watch out! So that is why you should join band.
I chose band because it is fun and you get a nice instrument. And you get to play some good songs. But the only thing that is hard about it is you have to play different notes like if you are a cornet you push one valve down and you can play two or more notes. The cornet is little and you have only 3 valves. Your teacher for a cornet will be mr.dixon and he is nice.
I chose my instrument (trombone) because it looked cool and I did really good when I tested it. Next, I was very excited to join band and to learn to actually play my instrument. Third, the concert was very awesome when we played the whole audience clapped I was nervous before but after I was not. I have learned all of the songs we played for you and I have also learned a lot of other fun songs. Lastly, Mr. Driver is AWESOMe. They both taught us how to play. They are the best band teachers ever.
Band is fun. You get to learn how to play an instrument. It will be your easiest class. I like my cornet because it is LOUD!!!!!! I was very excited when I started band I couldn't wait to learn how to play my instrument. The concert was awesome when we got to play for everyone it was super good and we sounded AMAZING!!! We have learned a lot of songs like Banana Boat, March across the seas Procession and Indigo Rock.
You should join band because we have fun and learn new stuff. We have test that prove if your good or no. We have some day where we are on chromebooks and also go into the same class to practice stuff. If you stay I band for 4 years you can go to DC or Disney world. This is just some of the fun things we do in band.
Band is fun because you get to go to concerts and you get to go on only band field trips. Also you get to participate in band only fundraisers. You get to use and see instruments that you don't really get to see other places. You can get in marching band when you are older. You get to play older and unique music and you get to hear yourself play amazing music.
I wanted to tell you guys how great band really is. It is really fun to participate in band and it is fun to play any of the instruments. You might think that it is hard at first, but it is actually pretty easy once you know how to play the instrument. The teachers will really help figure everything out. So I think you guys should join band.
First, I chose to be in the cornet and trumpet class. One reason I chose to be in this class is because at band tryouts it was the only thing I could play. Also, I thought the trumpet was really cool. Plus, I like having challenges, so I chose one that wasn’t as easy as the rest. That is why I chose the trumpet.
Second, Band is really fun. At first I was kind of nervous. But once your teacher teaches you how it is pretty easy. So now once you’re used to it, you just be excited and you won't really be nervous any more. Also, Mr Driver and Mr Dixon are really awesome!!!!! The help you through it and they’re really nice.
Also, the concerts are really fun. You can contribute all your efforts over a couple months to make something that sounds awesome. Some of the songs are pretty cool. Examples are 84 is pretty cool to me, and the concert songs are cool as well. So these are the reasons you should join band.
You should join band because it is the only class that actually doesn't give you homework and worksheets. Also in high school you get to go on a week long trip during school (it might be in the summer time i'm not really sure) to band camp. Another trip you get to go is you go to either disney world or washington DC. Another reason to join is that it's just fun because Mr. Driver and Mr. Dixon are really good teachers, we went from not knowing how to even hold an instrument to being able to memorize certain songs and play them without even looking. I chose my instrument because it was like the only one I could play without a challenge and because I like the instrument. Some of my feelings about band when I started was I didn't want even join but now I don't think I would have had anywhere near as much fun in any other elective. I was also very nervous when I joined because I didn't think I was going to be very good and to be honest I wasn't but now I am very good at it. Some of the songs I learned were all the quizzes so far and all the bad songs like March Across the Seas, Procession, Banana Boat Song, and Indigo Rock. That is why I like band and why you might to.

So this is the flute and you guys should play this instrument it is really fun to play this is the instrument that i play. Now i am going to show you and tell you a little about the clarinet also. This instrument is also a nice instrument to play when i play with them when we combined classes it’s really fun to play with them. So now i am going to tell you a little about the concerts they are really fun to do because you get to join with all of the band classes and that is really fun. So when you go to the concerts if you guys do decide to do band when you do the concerts you always go to the high school and play i think it’s fun to do. So this is a little about band. I play the Clarinet, I choose the Clarinet because that was the only instrument that i could get a sound out of and my mom played it. I was SUPER nervous to play in band because I didn’t know how to play, but then they taught me and everything was fine! We had a band concert and we sounded great, everyone knew the songs and I didn’t squeak once! I’ve learned to play and read notes, also everything that I didn't know before. I chose the clarinet because I liked the way the clarinet sounded and it was easier for me to try playing the clarinet then the other instruments. I was really excited to start band but I was also nervous to play the clarinet because I had no idea how to play it. The concert was so amazing because the whole 6th grade band sounded so good together, and Mr. Driver and Mr. Dixon also made the concert a fun time. When it came time to chose our instruments I did not know what I wanted to pick. The reason why I chose the flute is because it was the one that I had a little bit of interest in and one of the ones I could make a good sound out of. When I started band I was nervous and excited. I was nervous because I could not even put my instrument together I had no idea how to. I was excited because I was going to get to learn how to play an instrument and have fun at the same time. The concert was really scary at first but once you got up there and were playing with your friends it got easier. I have learned an abundance of songs. I think that you should join band because it is so much fun and you learn a lot of stuff and have AWESOME teachers and you can make new friends. The instrument that I play is the clarinet and if you don't know what that is it is this it is.
We have 2 concerts they are both so much fun we can get fancy and play for A LOT of people and it is fun to listen to the ENTIRE band play all at once. Some of the songs that we play are really cool like manhattan beach march is really cool.
Band is great and fun and I think you should join. I have only been in band a year and I have learned so much and had so much fun meeting new people hanging out with friends and learning how to play an instrument. I know what you're thinking I don’t know anything about an instrument well you don’t have to know you first will learn the basics and then you will get to the fun stuff like upper register. One of the best things is getting to show off your talent at the band concerts. Were the whole band plays. Some song you will learn are go tell aunt rody and red robin red breast and then you will get to harder stuff like manhattan beach march and other stuff. One of the best things is hanging out with the teachers the teachers for band are mr.driver and mr. dixon you will learn stuff from them but you will also become great friends with them. They are really easy going and just want to have fun. You will probably be nervous and excited, at first but the nervousness will go away and you will just be excited, to come. I hope that I see you with a instrument next year.
I am a 6th grade clarinet I am very skilled at it along with the other clarinet players we play together and we stick together we want you to join band we think it is a way to relieve stress and we also have lots of fun. Mr Driver is nice and cool and a few times in band we got to eat COOKIES! And also playing the clarinet is the easiest instrument and flute is hardest from my perspective but for you Idk.Band is very nice and our concert for you guys we thought went good but sorry for the extra playing and talking and for our fundraiser we have a butter braid one that is super delicious and yummy there are I think 7 different choices and for our new one there is A LOT OF CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!. And for our last concert ( not the one with 5th grade ) but the one in January was awesome each class got to play their own songs. My name is Ava and I play the clarinet. Band is definitely my favorite hour of the day!!! The first day of school when I was walking down the hall to band I was really scared because I had know idea how to play anything heck I didn't even know how to put it together!! When I got into the band room I was really surprised because they didn't even expect me to know what color the thing was! I chose the clarinet because I love how it sounds and it is really easy to get around because it is fairly small. I had never been to any kind of band concert and all of a sudden I'm in one!! The concert was AWESOME! You may think it doesn't sound very good when your in class because it is only one or 2 instruments but when you put them all together in a concert they sound amazing! Some of my favorite songs I've learned are Banana Boat, Indigo Rock, Boogie Blues, Ode To Joy, See, the Conquering Hero Comes, and Riverside March!! Another reason I love band is because of the teachers. Mr Driver is awesome!! He is really funny and he lets us do a lot of fun stuff in band. I really encourage all of you to do band next year!!!!
I started out as a clarinet I picked the clarinet and when I got it I didn't know how to play not even how to hold it. I picked the clarinet because I thought it would be a pretty good instrument to start out as and it was a good instrument to start out as then I moved up into the saxophone and I've only been playing it for a few weeks and it is similar to the clarinet. When you join band you might be nervous at first about what if I don't learn fast enough, That's what I thought in the beginning of the year but I learned as fast as everyone else so I wasn't behind at all. The fun part of band is the concerts they can be nervous when you think about it but really I think when i'm out on stage I think I play alot better than I do in the classroom. And if you mess up at a concert they might not even hear it because all of the brass. Mr. Driver and Mr. Dixon are the best teachers they are encouraging and helpful. We have played songs that you might have heard of like When The Saints Go Marching In and Christmas songs all sorts of songs and if you have a favorite song and it is not in the book you can look them up on google and probably find the song you are looking for.
I first started out as the Clarinet and it was fun when i played the clarinet. I played the clarinet because i was working my way up to the Alto sax. Then today i reached that goal i now play the Alto Sax, i learned Brass Monkey from 1980 I learned seven nation army too. And i would recommend the Sax for kids because it is a lot easier than the clarinet. The concert was amazing our teacher Mr. Driver said we were the first 6th grade to sound so good. When i started band i was super excited for band. 5 graders will love band alot.
