Bylaws & Organizational Items

  1. Madison Parks officially recognizes mountain biking as a legitimate use

  1. Bike area will be in the master plan that will be paid for by TIF(sp)
  2. Legally the golf management can advise but the property is managed by the forestry committee

  1. Patricia is working to organize a women’s work day and would like to buy T-shirts.
  2. General liability is currently $1500 might be around $2500 to cover events
  3. Mckay insurance might be a good alternative for event insurance
  1. CORP committees, organization & business management.
  1. Basecamp billing: Time to move things to Google for non-profit organizations?
  1. Yes, let's at least move documents over
  2. Look into moving communication over to gmail and/or forums
  1. Board restructuring update.

2016 Calendar Updates

  1. Insurance is the current blocker, it’s actively being worked on.

Membership

  1. Membership drive & membership tasks.
  1. Current membership is 239
  1. Curriculum for advocacy and youth programs. There is a trail building online class available, see WIlliam for details
  2. Outreach for youth and family membership.
  1. Nica teams are signed up to help at the BOCR
  2. West High has a raffle going on, good chance to maybe win a bike and talk to the coaches about IMBA
  1. CORP ambassadors.
  1. Opportunity to be an ambassador on april 23 through an event that Revolution Cycles is hosting

Tools and Equipment

  1. Quarry Park tool shed/box approval.  Will make a motion to approve $900 for job box type storage.  Need tools (minimal but some),  need help with what that $ will be,  maybe $500 (use the gift given to QP)
  2. We need to do the annual tool inventory at each location.

Committees

  1. Fat Bike Committee end-of-season de-briefing.
  1. Want to do an event next year for fat bikers
  2. Will stick with cheap laminate signs for the time being

Trail Adoption Plan

  1. Notes from Blue Moon bar volunteer meeting.

Potential Trail Updates

  1. Sun Prairie
  1. Searching for new properties
  2. Working with Parks for a small trail (1-2 Miles)
  1. Sauk Prairie Recreation Area
  1. Property manager has reached out to us about trail building possibilities
  1. Cross Plains
  1. Proposed land has interesting terrain possibilities
  2. Membership from the cross plains area has been notable
