#MEAction sharing personal fundraiser policy

This policy begins in August 2025.

In recognition of the need for mutual aid, #MEAction has offered to share personal fundraisers once per calendar year per individual. We had to institute this policy as we were being asked to share so many multiple times and it became overwhelming and difficult to keep fair.

Our new sharing policy will be that we will share an X post and/or Bluesky post from the original account, we will add to stories on Facebook/Instagram from the original account, and we will maintain a featured post on Facebook where each fundraiser can be added to the comments to maintain a list. We previously offered a native share on X or an add to stories if the user was only on Instagram/Facebook.  

We ask that the person the fundraiser benefits and/or that is running the fundraiser reach out via direct message on social media or email us at holly@meaction.net. We only share fundraisers when the beneficiary wants us to share. Please do not send us fundraisers that you are not managing.  

MEaction is not responsible for investigating the veracity of each fundraiser but we very much acknowledge the many genuine needs in our community and the rarity for which there has been an issue with truth in these fundraisers. That said, we recommend you be both generous and wise in your giving.
