COST Meeting in Tel Aviv, Israel
Dear Colleagues,
this email is to announce you that we are going to have a small COST meeting on "Open Source Particle Tracking Velocimetry - OpenPTV" on April 29 - May 2, in Tel Aviv. (http://www.openptv.net/cost-meeting-tel-aviv.html)
The idea was to organize a small event primarily for the collaborators from the WG1 group with the major focus on the open source particle tracking software. COST MP0806 is providing us a certain budget for this event. This is a recent decision, hence the late announcement.
The meeting is meant to be the kick-off meeting for the open source particle tracking initiative which has been proposed jointly by ETH Zurich, TU/e and Tel Aviv University. Interested participants of WG1 and other working groups are welcome to ask for the official COST invitation letter.
If you intend to participate to the COST meeting:
1. Please send, as soon as possible, a short reply with your intention to participate.
2. If you want to give a presentation, please send us a possible title for it. This should be related to the open source software you would like to introduce to the community and if possible to include in the community code base (see http://github.com/openptv). It has to be related in some sense to the three-dimensional particle tracking experiments.
Once the list of the interested participants among the officially registered COST members is ready, we will define how to use the financial support to reimburse travel or lodging expenses.
Hope to meet you in Tel Aviv.
Thanks,
Ruben, Beat and Alex
