hello {elected official title and name},

My name is {name here}, I am a {student/faculty/family/friend} of The University of the Arts expressing my deep concerns about the loss of our Philadelphia art school.

The decision to close the University of the Arts is a devastating blow to the thousands of students, faculty members, alumni and patrons of its artistic works.

If we do not do what is necessary to pause the closure and evaluate options to save it, it will result in irreversible damage to the Broad Street corridor and Center City and loss of a genuinely unique local, national and international treasure.

The decision was made abruptly and prematurely. There is still an opportunity to save this valuable and historic Philadelphia institution. Please help stop the closure until such time as our Philadelphia community can evaluate what is needed and come to the institution’s aid.

In less than 24 hours,1500 people and counting have signed a petition expressing their agreement that we must do everything in our power to ensure the future of UArts.

CONTINUE DEMANDING AN APPEAL FROM PRESIDENT WALK

send this message to president Kerry Walk >>> president@uarts.edu

APPEAL NOW

The students of UArts are demanding an appeal of the middle states’ decision by THIS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 5TH.

Please President Walk.

Appeal by Wednesday.

Save the walls that hold our precious community.

UArts holds the people, the space, the community that actively cultivate the love and learning that enable me to flourish as an artist.

We are begging.

APPEAL.

FIGHT.

Fight for the people whose sound foundation of future just crumbled beneath them.

Fight for the walls that bring us together,

give us the chance to be in the presence of each other,

so we can continue the precious growth we are not yet finished exploring together.

WE ARE NOT FINISHED.

APPEAL THE MIDDLE STATES’ DECISION.

GIVE UARTS A CHANCE TO REMAIN OPEN.
