Dear member,                                                                       3rd June 2020

Coronavirus Update

Following our Committee meeting last night we are writing to advise of our plans for the opening of the green.

We intend to open the green for members only on Monday 15th June in line with the latest guidelines issued by Bowls England, a copy of which is attached.

Those wishing to play must follow all the Bowls England rules including sanitising all the equipment before and after use with the products we will provide. All rinks must be booked in advance and sessions will last for 90 minutes with a 20 minute break before the next game commences. Only 3 rinks will be available each day being 1, 3, 5 or 2,4,6 and all bookings must be made with Carolyn Skrzypczak, telephone number 01409 240109, preferably between 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. and 18.00 p.m. and 19.00 p.m.  Currently social distancing remains at 2 metres and must be maintained. The clubhouse will be locked and no toilet facilities will be available but this will be reviewed in due course.  We would request that despite the Bowls England rule only single and pairs games are played wherever possible.

We have decided that all members wishing to play will have to pay a subscription of £30. All members choosing not to join this year will have their membership suspended however as you must realise we are incurring a near normal level of expenses and voluntary donations would be appreciated to ensure the club is in good shape for the future.

REMEMBER:

CLEAN ALL EQUIPMENT BEFORE AND AFTER USE

WASH HANDS REGULARLY

MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING.    For further information of Bowls England guidelines use the link: https://www.bowlsengland.com/
