DLA019-0031  Transcription

22nd, May, 1930.

I have just returned home from Paris in order to receive the guests this evening at the Soiree of the Royal Society of British Artists of which I am President, and at which I hope to have the pleasure of greeting you.[1]

To-morrow, I go back to Paris, but before I leave I wish to take this opportunity of thanking you for having kindly arranged for me to be elected a “Pilgrim”.[2] I hope as such to be of some use to Anglo-American relations.

Yours sincerely,

J. Arthur Barratt, Esq., K.C.,
