Town A played Desborough A in the Floodlit League at Desborough and lost the overall game by one shot.  The only winning rink was skipped by Tim Eales supported by Ben Mallandain, Grant Oxtoby and Clive Knowles.  In a close game throughout Town pulled away in the last four ends to win by 26-18.  In the Triples Elliot Winskill with Cliff Jenkins and Malcolm Tingle conceded four shots on their last end to draw 14 shots apiece.  Unfortunately those shots lost Town the game in the end.  In the Pairs game, Albie Trillow and Paul Hutchinson went down 18-25 in a game they never came to grips with while Jeff Beale ran out 19-21 in the Singles game.

Town’s B team, playing at home against Desborough B won their match overall by 31 shots.  Mike Mason had a great game in the Singles winning 23-8 whilst the Pairs of Richard Smith and Steve Wheeler had a relatively easy game winning 28-17.  The only losing game was the Triples of Alan Davies, Eddie Cutche and Cy Woodward who despite drawing at the 13th end, went on to drop 13 shots over the last five ends to lose 14-26.  The rink of Peter King, Keith Thompson, Tony Ruffell and skip Jim Turner ended their game 28-17.

In the Royal Shield Town were at home against Desborough, but could only manage one winning rink, losing the game 44-51.  The winning triple was skipped by Helen Cutche with Chris Wright and Kathy Wells, 17-15.

In the friendly against Flackwell Heath at the weekend, Town were unlucky to lose by 1 shot, 87-88.  Winning three of the five triples was not enough to take the game as with a heavy loss on one rink, Town lost the game.  Top rink for Town was Cheryl Mackenzie, Jan Marshall and skip Martin Behmber, 22-15.
