A Note from the Teacher

Hi! My name is Kayla Holland, and I would like to welcome you and your child to the Red Wolves team. I am so excited to get to know and teach your child! First, here are a few things about me:

I was born in New Delhi, India and was adopted by American parents when I was a baby. I have lived in Arkansas my entire life. I graduated from Cotter High School in 2002. At that point I decided to continue my education at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. I now have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.

I started teaching at Harrison Middle School in 2012. This will be my sixth year teaching middle school math in the district. Not only am I teaching math this year, but I will be teaching social studies too. I love teaching my two favorite subjects!

I have a daughter who is 13 years old, so I can really relate to this age group! My daughter loves to play sports and fish. She says she wants to be a marine biologist. She is my whole world, so I understand the importance of teaching your child and the trust you place in me.

I am thrilled to be part of the Red Wolves team, my old alma mater! I strive to make learning fun and adventurous. We are going to have a wonderful time! I will send letters home periodically to keep you informed on what your child is doing in my class. My contact information is below, so feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to a fantastic year. Welcome to the Red Wolves!
