Instructions for buying a PIP Cards Mint Pass

As you might have heard from our previous announcement, Pontem is entering the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in an exciting partnership with PIP NFT Playing Cards (PIP Cards). Together, Pontem and PIPS will make cross-chain gaming available to crypto users starting with game development in Q2 2022. Read more here.

Signing up for the Whitelist

With this partnership, Pontem community members have early access to join the whitelist and purchase up to 3 mint passes (unique card back design) this week in advance of the public launch. Whitelist access will be granted in cohorts based on when members join the discord — as of Tuesday over 900 members of the Pontem community have joined the whitelist. If you participated in the whitelist, you can now start minting.^[a][b]

In order to mint a deck you will need a total of 4.44 MOVR - first 2.22 for a mint pass (card back) which will later reveal your PFP champion card on Feb 22 and then another 2.22 on March 22 for minting the deck of 54 cards.

Minting on the Whitelist (starting Jan 26, 17:00 UTC / 12pm EST)

Those eligible whitelisted addresses will have access to the minting event on January 26th. Visit pipcards.com on your desktop computer (mobile is not supported at this time) and connect your Metamask wallet. Follow the instructions below or reach out to their discord community if you’re having issues.  

1. Step One: Make sure your Metamask wallet is connected to the Moonriver Network.

2. Step two: Visit pipcards.com and connect your wallet by clicking the button in the top right of the homepage.

3. Step three: After your wallet is connected, click on the “Mint” button at the top of the page to go to the Mint page: pipcards.com/mint

4. Step four: After your wallet is connected you will have the opportunity to purchase up to 3 mint passes for 2.22 MOVR each. Select how many Mint passes you want to purchase (one, two, or three).

5. Step five: Click “Purchase Mint Pass” button and confirm the transaction on your Metamask wallet.

6. Step six: Success! You have now minted a PIPS Awakened Mint Pass (or maybe three!). You can always connect your wallet and access your “vault” at anytime to view your collection.
