The episode starts with the wedding ceremony continuing. Kunti comes and says to Draupadi that you task is five times tougher than normal women so i have decides to relinquish my claims. From this day onwards you will have the sole right to advise my sons.
Krishna comes to Kunti and tells her that patience is a great virtue, Be always patient.
Krishna says that in every persons life there comes a time when he is faced with choice. On one side there is Dharma and on other side there is happiness. And that is why it is called Dharmasankat. Most people choose happiness and get attracted towards the wrong path. Dharmasankat is the point where you can go closer to God by choosing Dharma because by choosing Dharma in the long run you will attain happiness
At Hastinapur Shakuni comes to Dhritrashtra and Gandhari and in over dramatic style tells them that duryodhan has lost his mind due to the insult he got at Panchal. Dritrashtra asks what insult he got? Shakuni says Hastinapur Yuvraj was seated at the end and his name was also called in the end, This is so insulting. No one respects Hastinapur anymore. And in his grief he is going to kill the horse of Ashwamedh yagya
Gandhari says but that is a sin. Shakuni says yes sister stop him or he will get sin of killing thousand brahmins.
Duryodhan is sitting in a yagna type of mandap and tells a servant to cut the head of the horse.
Dhritrashtra and Gandhari come there. Gandhari stops him telling its a sin. Duryodhan says i want to do Ashvamedh yagya. It has not happened in in our territory for five generations and every one has forgotten the might of Hastinapur. Gandhari says this is impossible. Your father is only an acting king, He has no right to do Ashwamedh yagya.
Duryodhan says mother a horse which can neither drive a carriage norf nor go to war and neither can sit in Ashwamedh yagya its better to kill that horse.
Dhritrashtra says it is not so. All are still scared of Hastinapur. Duryodhan says only in your dreams.
Do my coronation and I will do Ashwamedhh yagya.
Gandhari says but for that I and your father will have to take sanyas.
Duryodhan says Kings do sacrifices for their kingdoms and you should too.
Dhritrashtra says Bheeshma has gone to Khandav van to fight Takshak. Let him come I will take his advise.
Duryodhan says Tigers do not take advise before roaring and neither should you. So my coronation or I will either kill this horse or myself.
Dhritrashtra and Gandhari are at a loss for words
Its Draupadi's bidaai... a tearful farewell... Krishna gives her gyaan about the role of husband and wife, and sometimes role reversals... being sourya and dhairya... draupadi says bye to her family... then Yudi asks Krishna to come to hastinapur, but he says he needs to go to Dwarka. He hugs his friend Arjun. He wishes that truth will always win. He says draupadi will cleanse the aryavrat.
Krishna and dd push the carriage for draupadi and she looks sadly.
Krishna then speaks with vidur who reaches there and is surprised. He asks him to go back and prepare for the arrival of the princes of Hastinapur.
At Hastinapur, Dhrit is sad as he remembers the words of Dury. He also remembers the circumstances of hi birth and each time he had supported his son. Gandhari comes there. He feels sad that his son has not understood his love and affection for him.
They both cry. Dhrit finally says that he will crown him tomorrow, even if it means that they have to take sanyas.
The nextdyraj guru says that it is not good to crown the son king when the father is alive or not taken sanyas. But dhrit asks him to go ahead.
The ceremony starts. As the crown is about to be placed, Bhishm comes and asks them to stop. All supporters of Dury are dissappoited along with him.
Bhishm announces that the rightful crown prince has arrived as the pandavas enter the palace gates.
The episode starts with Dury's dissappointed face when Bhishm asks the ceremony to be stopped. Bhishm had a field day at this scene... he watches everyone's face as he says that Dury cannot become the king as it is adharm. Sakuni gathers the courage to ask him why. Bhishm says Dury knows how difficult the Kampilya competition was. Only Arjun can win it. If Arjun is alive so is Yudi.
What a logic sirji.
Dury is devastated. So is Sakuni. Dhirt says if they are alive then it is right to stop Dury's rajyabishek.
Judgement passed.. As if any one cared...
Dury asks then why havent they come for so long.. Sakuni asks to show their face to him.. Bhishm says that vidur has gone to Kampilya to enquire about them.
Dury asks how long they will take to find them.. How long should they wait.. Dhrit takes the cue and asks Bhishm how long will they have to wait.. One day, two day, one week?
Bhishm looks at them as the drums rolls start. Bhishm says no waiting.. they have arrived.. Dharm has come back to Hastinapur.. Dury and gang are disappointed.
1st Heart attack for Dhrit
The Pandavas come inside the palace gates along with Draupadi in the palanquin. Kunti comes in Vidur's carraige.
As the pandavas desend up the stairs, Dury is upset. Karn consoles him. Sakuni is bemused. Dhrit is confused what to feel. Gandhari is okish.. Bhishm is all smiles Hehe your time for heart attack is gonna come Bhishm ji.
First Yudi gets blessings from all of the elders. Gandhari asks why they didnt come all these days. Yudi gives them a proper answer.
Then Bheem and Arjun follow. Gandhari asks Arjun where is their pehle bahu. Arjun tells not pehle bahu. she is doosra. Bheem has already married hidimba and he has a son also.
Bhishm is shocked. Dury and his brothers, and Sakuni laugh that he got a Rakshas.
Haha.. First heart attack for bhishm, Second heart attack for Dhrit..
Bheem is looking like a kid caught in doing something wrong. Bhishm recovers and says he wont accept Bheem's son as a heir for the throne but he will accept him as his pota. Bheem is releived and goes and hugs Bhishm.
Haiyee.. good work bheem papa...
Next attack ka time aagaya... Gandhari asks for doosra bahu.. Arjun introduces Panchali. She comes and gets her blessing. All smiles around. Gandhari asks Arjun to come forward to get blessings together. All the five come.
Everyone are surpirsed. Yudi says we all got married. Bhishm says then call all your wives too..
Yudi says we all married Draupadi.
Heart attacks for everyone around..
The episode begins with Yudhishtir telling everyone that all 5 Pandavas have married Draupadi. Everyone is shocked and Gandhari drops the aarti thali. Shakuni laughs saying 1 woman has 5 husbands. Bhim and Arjun become angry and Bhishma looks disappointed. Bhishma shouts that this is adharma. Bhishma says he was waiting for dharma's arrival and tells Yudhishtir that you 5 brothers have come here after doing this adharma. He storms away leaving everyone else there. Dhritrashta also leaves and Gandhari follows him. Shakuni and the Kauravas leave laughing at the Pandavas.
Inside the palace Shakuni is STILL LAUGHING! He says that Yudhishtir has ruined his chances of sitting on the throne. Shakuni says the Pandavas have always followed the path of righteousness but their one misdeed has thrown water over all of their good work. Duryodhan says it feels like God is on his side now. He asks Shakuni what they should do next, but Shakuni says whatever needs to be done will be done by that old man Bhishma. Shakuni thinks that Bhishma will crown Duryodhan as King instead of Yudhishtir.
Bhishma is alone and Vidhur comes to see him. Vidhur says that there are many reasons why the Pandavas had to make a difficult decision. He tells Bhishma about Kunti's mistake, but Bhsihma is angry that they accepted this adharma. He says as long as someone has the option of taking sanyaas why would they choose the path of adharma? Vidhur says that if Yudhishtir took sanyaas then they would have no choice but to crown Duryodhan as King. Bhishma says what is the difference now? He starts listing all the things he has been through in his life and says that his patience is finished now. Vidhur tries convincing Bhishma about Yudhishtir but Bhishma tells him to be quiet. Bhishma says he can never accept Yudhishtir's decision. He says a King should be one who is filled with strength during difficult times and fights his problems, not one who is scared of problems and chooses the path of adharma. Long story short Bhishma tells Vidhur that Yudhishtir has no right to the throne any more.
Inside the palace Yudhishtir says that if Bhishma decided to banish us and make Duryodhan King then we'll have to accept his decision. Bhim says if that is the case then why did we bother coming back into the palace, we should have left when Bhishma walked away. Yudhishtir says that this is our home, but Nakul replies that a home is where you have rights. Sahadev says that their hearts are pure, since Rishi Vyas saw no adharma in the decision they took. Arjun tells Yudi that there is another matter of importance. If they accept Bhishma's decision then they will also be accepting that they commited a sin, that Draupadi committed a sin. Arjun says that we cannot let such a stain fall on Draupadi's character, so we must fight for our rights. Yudhishtir says that if they disobey Bhishma then this will also be a sin. Bhima asks Draupadi what she thinks they should do. Draupadi says she isn't sure what a dharma sankat is, a problem due to dharma or dharma being in danger. Yudhishtir says that at the moment it is both of these things.
Draupadi says that if you all agree then I would like to speak to Bhishma. Yudi asks why and she says that their rights are in danger and they will have to fight for them tomorrow in the sabha. But their dharma is in trouble because of her so she will sort this out herself. The Pandavas all agree with this.
The episode starts with Bheeshma standing on the banks of Ganga. Draupadi comes there. Bheeshma says you and five Pandavas have ruined Dharma. She folds her hands and asks then which Path will be good for us Mahamahim. Bheeshma says, I think the path of Yam lord of death should be the right one. Draupadi says you mean after doing such a sin there is a path which is there to purify us? Bheeshma looks at her startled. She says isint Yam the lord of Dharma along with death, isint that why he is called Dharmaraj? Isint his path the path of Dharma?
She further says after death if soul gets purified then whats the use of it? I want to know a way to purify the soul during our time on earth. The way Sati Savitri had done. She had brought back her husband by following the path of Yam alive. Like Nachiketa had done. He had by living followed the Path of yam. I also while being alive want to follow the path of yam.
Bheeshma says what is Yam in heaven is Neeyam or regulation on earth. To carry Dharma one has to abide by regulation. If one one wants to purify ones soul on this path one has to bind ones life in rules and regulations and do tapas.
Draupad says and how did you think we wouldnt have bound our life in regulation? How did you think we had not pledged Tapas as part of our lives? Maybe you doubt my upbringing but you should not have doubted the upbringing of kuruvansha.
Bheeshma has no answer for this Draupadi gives Argha to Lord Surya and says if my and husbands's intentions are pure and pious may Lord Sun accept my Argha. Lord Sun accepts it.
Next day Rajya sabha starts and Pandavs along with Draupadi come there.
Yudhistir tells Dhritrashtra that they are alive after Lakshagrih hence he should be reinstated as crown prince. He says that as a house cannot be constructed on a land which already has a house on it and Wheat cannot be grown before the earlier crop is cut same way ewhen one crownprince is alive a second crown prince cannot be crowned. Hence I urge you to cancel Duryodhan's coronation.
But Duryodhan cuts him and says of course my coronation was canceled the moment you came back. I leave my throne in yout favour. As yudhistir moves towards the throne he says but O crown prince please answer such question. A woman who stays with other men is considered characterless and such women are punished in Aryavrat. Man who stays with a married woman is also considered characterless. What are your thoughts on this. Can the crown prince and his wife condone such behaviour. Can we put on the throne a person who indulges in this?
Yudhistir says I can answer your question but Dristrashtra says no need I at this moment exile you and your family from this kingdom.
Dhrtarashtra orders that Pandava's family should leave this country. Yudhishthir tells him what they did is under unusual circumstances. He gives example of Maricha marrying 10 Prachetas> Prajapati Daksh was her son. We are his praja. If that marriage was Adharma then we too are the same. Dhritarashtra worries about Pandu's soul burning in anger in heaven along with other souls of their ancestors. Yudhisthir asks Bhishma to give his opinion.
Bhishma gets up, says after getting news of the circumstances at Kampilya, considering all the options, this decision was taken with Vyas's blessings. Though this marriage is Adharma but Pandavas & Panchali are innocent. Pandavas & Draupadi are happy at this acceptance.
Dhritarashtra is surprised. He says as a king of this country he has to consider all including the comman men, who doesn't understand Dharma much. He doesn't agree with this marriage. Yudhisthir says he & with his brothers & princess Panchali are ready to give Agni-pariksha to prove their innocence, so all will know that one who takes such path has to be ready to give Agni-pariksha.
Yudhisthir says if this is Adharma then what are these incidents? Poisoning a child & throwing him in the river, trying to stop Arjun from entering in Rangbhoomi by burying him under stones, burning your relatives in a house of lakh, aren't they Adharma? Shakuni, Duryodhan gets restless. Dhritarashtra is unable to answer. Shakuni gets up, tells Dhritarashtra to allow him to leaves with his bhanjas for Gandhar as Dhritarashtra's bhatijas & his bhanjas can't live together.
Duryodhan says these are accusations, you can only do that. Pointing at Draupadi he says a woman who doesn't understand Dharma, can not show the right path to her husbands as she is durachaari.
Arjun gets angry, he is ready with his bow, aims at Duryodhan. Karna comes to protect his friend. His shield appears. Kunti is worried seeing her sons standing in front of each other. Arjun vow to cut head of the one who has insulted Panchali.
Dhritarashtra orders death sentence for Arjun for trying to use weapons in Rajya sabha. Yudhisthir tells him he can't do that, can only invite them to fight.
Duryodhan accepts this invitation for fight. He with his brothers, Karna are ready to take on Pandavas.
Here Pandavas too are angry, come foreword to fight, burning with anger. Bheem tells Duryodhan, they are 5 Brhmastras, ready to fight for her honour, you'll get burnt. Draupadi seems to be proud of her husbands. All others present in Rajya sabha are worried.
Bhishma asks them to stop. He tells Dhritarashtra, for how long your sons will keep on insulting Hastinapur's Rajyasabha. Dhritarashtra is surprised hearing that his sons are at fault according to Bhishma, who leaves.
Vidur is moved too by this situation, suggests, for Kuru Vansh's protection division of this state is the only solution left. All are shocked hearing this suggestion.
Bhishma was furious on Vidur for suggesting the property splitting.
Pandavas were discussing over what they should do. They cannot just let their mother land divided into two parts. Yudhisthira was dead against the division and said he would go and leave the Yuvraj pad himself.
Vidur gave an example of water and oil which can never be mixed. He also said if they want happiness and peace in Hastinapur they have to divide the Rajya. Vidur also said right now Dhritarastra would only support his own blood. But Bhisma refused to believe it but right at that moment Dhritarashtra's saarathi came and told them that Dhritarastra ordered his man to arrest Pandavas and put them in the Karagar.
Duryodhan was furious and he refused to divide the Rajya stating it was his own and they will never let Panduputras to take it.
Sakuni was spatting against Bhishma and Vidur and so was Dussasana.
Duryodhana reminded his father that how Pandava's took out their weapons in front of Dhritarastra and it was a sinful deed. So they have every right to dismiss Yudhisthira from Yuvraj Pad.
Vishma was furious over Dhritarastra's deed and ordered the dwarpal to inform the king that Bhisma wants to see him.
Pandavas were shocked at the declaration and submitted themselves to the Hastinapur men against their wishes.
Bhima was furious but Yudhisthira made him understand the rightness of the thing by submitting him to the Hastinapur men. Yudhisthira leaded the way and the other pandavas followed.
They met Draupadi on their way. Her eyes were filled with tears seeing her beloved husbands like that. Bhima tried to bring smile on Draupadi's face but she did not smile an inch. With heavy heart she asked what was the solution? Yudhisthira said there was only one solution that they apologize in front of the King.
Arjun asked Draupadi what was her views. She said if they are at fault then they should seek for forgiveness but if they aren't then they should fight it out and prove themselves right. She made them understand what they were doing was not correct. Yudhisthira confirmed that they would not ask for forgiveness.
Arjun told her that if they are at Karagar then Hastinapur wont be safe for her and she should leave for Kampilya. With heavy heart he said maybe her journey was till here with them. Draupadi nodded in disagreement.
On the other hand Dhritarastra refused to meet Bhishma.
Bhishma went to meet Dritarastra when he and his wife were doing havan. He said that he has committed sin by capturing Pandavas. Dritarastra told him that it was a sin to take up weapons in front of him. Bhishma ordered him to release them.
Duryodhan said he cannot order the King and he should respect. Bhishma said it was because of him and if he wants he can take the kingship back. Gandhari requested her husband to release Pandavas just giving Arjun a small punishment. Duryodhan told him that a King can never take back his order and now when it is already given no one has any right to take it away.
Dritarastra was in two minds when his sons gave him strength and he kept numb. Bhishma angrily walked out despite of Shakuni's pleading. He scolded his nephews and told them that he was changing his decision. In the game one should change according to the situation.
When hastinapur soldiers were on their way towards the karagar Bhishma stopped them on their tracks and told them to either fight with him or release Pandavas because he wont step back from his dharma.
Yudhisthira reminded him that they are nothing against his oath and for them he cannot fight with his own men. Bhishma dismissed his words and asked his men to fight with him.
Duryodhana and his brother were happy to see the soldiers pick up their respective weapons but it was half lived because they submitted their weapons on this foot kneeling down in front of him.
Shakuni showed them what he meant. Hastinapur will always remain obident towards their master Bhishma and Duryodhana does not stand a chance. He told Duryodhana to ask his father to seek for Bhishma's forgiveness.
Bhishma finally agreed with Vidur's words that the Rajya will not be divided into two parts and if Yudhishthira's rajyabhishek doesn't happen he will immediately leave the kingdom.
Shakuni asked Bhisma to meet the King in the shabha along with the pandavas because he needs to take step against Arjuna for picking up his weapon in front of the whole Rajya.
DR was sitting on throne n shakuni ask him to give pandavas wat they want, if they want more, he shud give them more but he shud stop bhishm at any cost, he shud make him servant of hastinapur so that in future he'll never go against his decesion, soldier came n says that bhishm wants to cum n he ask to cum as he was abt to arrive, shakuni signals n he sat on stairs. DR was sitting on stairs n shakuni was their, bhishm enters n shakuni greets him n leaves, as bhishm approach towards DR he ask for srry, he's ready for any sort of punishment bhishm ask DR that a king only sit on floor during hawan or puja, he shud sit on throne, DR says that he's not the king, he has lost the right to sit on throne.
Bhishm says that he's king n will remain for long tym, n now as per vidhur's suggestion tym has cum to divide the rashtra n gave it to pandavas. Other side, bhim n other pandavas were discussing it with vidhur, he ask which part will they receive, vidhur says that he's not doing injustice to them but they surely must have doing “atinyaya” to dury, drapadi ask abt it, n he explains that when while doing justice thr's no affection, joy in heart remains only tiredness, just to do it to get rid of sumthing, just to keep sum1 calm instead of giving sum1 punishment thy reward sum1 is “atinyaye” its actually failure of justice.
Bhishm says that he has done a lot of struggle his lyftym to protect hastinapur n its throne but now he want to live peacefully, he'll leave with yudi n brothers n let him n his sons live peacefully. DR starts oaniciing on that n pleads him a lot to not leave hastinapur as he's blind n he'll loose everything if he loose him, he'll loose both money n power, with yudi.
Other side, draupadi ask if thr's sum city or place in hastinapur which is not save n always in danger of demon attack, yudi said its khandav prastha, draupadi says that thy'll ask for that land only, n every1 agrees, vidhur is worried but arjun says that thy'll better off thr in peace n now bhishm is also with them.
There, DR emotionally blackmails bhishm n says that he'll not give anything to pandavas until n unless bhishm promise to be on his side, bhishm says that he promise that he n yudi will always be on his side, whenever he need thy'll cum to help n yudi also never attack on hastinapur, but DR is stubborn he says that wat if his sons do sumthing wrong then bhishm surely cum n punish them, thats y he want a promise.
Vidhur says that bhishm has sacrified a lot of things in his life, yudi says that its tym for him to rest n he along with his brother n wife will take care of him, thr bhishm says that he'll do the sacrife for dharma n yudi, DR ask for promise that watever may be the circumstances he'll always be on his side, bhishm gave promise that untill DR is the king, he'll follow his each n every word.
Episode begins with Bhishma promising Dhritrashta that he will stay as his servant in Hastinapur as long as he remains on the throne. Dhritrashta is happy hearing these words, but Bhishma tells him that he must crown Yudhishtir as King and give the Pandavas a chance to be happy.
Dhrit looks annoyed but changes his expression quickly and agrees. Bhishma leads Dhrit to the throne and stands with his hands folded in front of him. (A really powerful scene… the one who was born and brought up to be King bowing in front of one who was never fit in mind or body to sit on the throne)
Outside the palace the common citizens are discussing the partition of the kingdom. One citizen says he will leave Hastinapur and follow the Pandavas to their new city.
Inside the Hastinapur sabha, Yudhishtir's rajyabhishek is about to begin. The Pandavas and Draupadi arrive in the court.
Shakuni quietly asks Duryodhan why he isn't looking happy. Duryodhan says how can he be happy that this old man (Bhishma) has made Yudhishtir a King today. Shakuni says I never told you to BE happy, but you must show happiness as a pretence.
Vidhur tells Yudhishtir to present his claim before the King. Duryodhan tells Shakuni that he will break peace and attack the Pandavas if they are given a city near the banks of the Ganga. Shakuni tells him to stay quiet and reminds him that those who walk on the path of dharma can have adharm done to them easily.
Yudhishtir respectfully bows to Dhritrashta and asks permission to have his coronation done. Dhrit grants permission but says that Yudhishtir must tell him which part of Kuru nation he wants as his. Dhrit says you can ask for any part of the Kuru lands, apart from Hastinapur. Yudhishtir says he would rather build his lands with hard work, rather than be given something for nothing. He says that he and his brothers would like to build a new city in Khandavprashta.
Shakuni and Duryodhan are happy hearing this. Bhishma is worried and tells Yudhishtir that he doesn't know the truth about Khandavprashta, but Yudhi assures him. He says he knows about Indra's curse on the land, that is why the land has dried up. Bhishma says that they won't be able to build a new city as there are serpents in the jungles and they are very poisonous. Bhishma tells him of their leader, Takshak.
Yudhishtir says that with Bhishma's blessings they will be able to overcome these obstacles, but Bhishma tells him he is being foolish. Bhishma tells Dhrit that he has chosen some areas which make up half of the Kuru lands, and that these should be given to the Pandavas.
Dhrit says this is impossible as Yudhishtir has already decided what land he wants, so his decision must be respected.
Dhrit offers Yudhishtir 100,000 gold coins and 100,000 cows for pooja in the new city and says that whoever wants to leave Hastinapur and go to Khandavprastha is welcome to do so. Dhrit announces Yudhishtir as the independent King of Khandavprastha.
Dhritrahsta reminds Yudhishtir of the Aryavrat tradition, that you are not accepted as an independent and powerful King until 100 or more Kings have accepted you as their leader. Until this happens you cannot have your own flag in your kingdom and all of your promises as King will be made in the name of Hastinapur.
Finally Dhrit asks Kripacharya to perform the abhishek of Yudhishtir. Milk and fake lotus ceremony happens (you know the drill, we've seen it so many times)
Yudhishtir goes to Dhritrashta to get crowned.
Shakuni tells Duryodhan to see what plans he has organised for his protection. Dhrit tells Yudhi that his kingdom is independent of Hastinpur and that he is sure that Yudhi will never have his eye on any part of Hastinpur.
Yudhishtir promises, saying that he will always remember that his family members live here. Dhritrashta says that your mother Kunti will also remain here.
Pandavas, Draupadi and Kunti are shocked hearing this.
