Intro: This document aims to help social media users refocus on the needs of Gazans.
Many social media users are stuck in a freeze response and feeling helpless. The best way to counter this is to be equipped with the following knowledge below: amplify Palestinian voices and direct our efforts into supporting initiatives that have a direct impact on Pali lives.
Providing relief and aid to ease the suffering of Palestinians ultimately preserves their steadfastness and their hope for a Free Palestine.

If you see an injured or sick Gazan, please be proactive, especially if posted by the original account so that they can get help.
Medical evacuations are becoming increasingly difficult as they require a lot of paperwork and time. Currently, NO MALES are being added to the official medical evacuation list.
With a collapsed health system in Gaza and the medical need often being immediate, the best way to help still remains helping them reach their evacuation fund goals.

Help amplifying Medical Evacuation fundraisers sign up form (english/arabic): Unfortunately, this is only for the pregnant women/injured/critically ill/cancer patients/other medical issues + ONE person to accompany you. They may make an exception for a small family of 3 but this is mainly for urgent medical fundraisers under a certain amount.
Food insecurity is a direct cause of the 17 year blockade on Gaza, Palestinian mutual aid funds have consistently managed to provide for their communities for years.
Tag and/or donate to these Mutual aid funds accounts on the ground in Gaza. They are initiatives led by Gazans,have consistently reached areas where outsider organizations have struggled.

Gaza municipality is literally rebuilding the destroyed infrastructure (if they re not losing hope, we shouldn't either):
-Water supply enhancement projects
- Maintenance of water wells
- Implementation of water desalination initiatives
- Management of waste collection and disposal systems
- Reconstruction of roads demolished during war
- Implementation of sewage water pumping and treatment schemes
- Execution of pest control and rodent eradication programs
Ibrahimforgaza feeding the community in North Gaza for years has on the ground team helped feed people like Fadi and Sister Nezha and her 3 babies when bigger aid organizations were unable to reach them.

CampBreakers: Camps Breakerz was founded in 2004, with CB Crew supporting the children and youth living in Gaza. Camp Breakerz offers therapeutic dance as a trauma informed practice, teaching children the art of creative expression through movement.
Phr_ps : Protecting displaced children of Gaza through local community initiatives through the purchase of medical supplies and winter clothes, as well as the creation of a children’s village which supports more than 250 displaced children with playful activities.

We started creating this document back in November and were looking for official ways to evacuate friends and their families.
Unfortunately, we slowly started to realize that in many cases, official evacuation routes were slow , unreliable and in most cases did not work at all.
People with dual nationality were often ignored by their embassies.
Family reunification processes were inefficient and often unsuccessful in multiple countries.
Urgent medical evacuations have also been extremely slow even with proper documentation
The unofficial evacuation list through Ya Hala has slowly become one of the only ways to evacuate people.
THIS IS WHY FUNDRAISING FOR EVACUATION IS SO IMPORTANT.
What does being “proactive” on social media mean?
Amplify fundraisers on your social media and not just once! Keep talking about it!
Learn their names and their stories, treat them as if they were your family and tell as many people as you know. Ask your rich friends, professors, co-workers to donate.
Reach out to your friends with large follower lists.
Spam your whatsapp groups. Even with a teeny tiny platform, I'm amazed how much we've been able to raise .
BONUS TIP: if you have social media experience, use your skills and find the best way to get more eyeballs on these fundraisers.

Why Gazans should AVOID using gofundme as a platform They have been notorious for freezing accounts and withholding funds from Palestinians. If a family is already using gofundme, just work with that. It´s a big ask to ask them to change platform in the midst of a genocide. But if you are starting a fundraiser, use a different platform or direct accounts like Paypal.

Fed Up For Palestine (@fedup4palestine) is a Palestinian led-platform which helps Gazans by the least fees that help provide exposure and social media content to fundraisers.

With universities and schools destroyed by Israel, Gazans should be able to continue their education and achieve their dreams. These are some options and we hope that more academics and universities can push for more.

Across the West Bank, unemployment reached 29 percent by the end of 2023. With little opportunity, those in the WB resort to settlement construction in order to provide for their families (65-70% of settlement construction in the WB is done by Palis).
Wally said that when US accounting firms hire remote workers, they ask for people to have Quickbooks pro advisor certificates which can be obtained online.

These are some mutual aid funds and organizations in Cairo that can help Palestinian refugees restart their life by providing them with long term support.
There needs to be a much larger network of organizations ,volunteers and skilled professionals coming together to donate their time as the need for support post-evacuation is HUGE and ongoing.
My friend Lina is a very young Palestinian, whilst trying to fundraise to evacuate her family and friends from Gaza, she is also helping these survivors of the Gaza genocide settle post evacuation. They are quite frankly overworked.
They are in dire need of volunteers (who CAN PAY FOR THEIR OWN TRAVEL AND STAY) such as grassroots organizers, healthcare workers ,birth workers, immigration lawyers, people who can fly in to bring $10,000 in cash. You can also volunteer to help them distribute aid to recently evacuated families. You will be helping refugees with their basic needs like clothes, housing, money, food, medications etc... Liberation requires us to reach out our hands and not abandon Palestinians once they evacuate.

The process of immigration takes a very long time and has no guaranteed outcome. Leaving these here for information purposes but it is also important to manage expectations and prioritize evacuation funds to Egypt as they are the most efficient way of evacuating Gaza for now.

Conclusion:
Imagine not only losing everything you worked for but also:
-Mourning the death of loved ones, often not being able to bury them properly
-Living in a tent after being displaced.
-Having sick/long term illness family members who have no access to medication.
-Children who haven't been to school in months because their school has been bombed.
-Your education coming to a halt because your university has been bombed
-Not knowing if you will survive another day or be killed
-Not having the time or place to think about healing
-Constantly hearing the buzzing of drones
-No longer having an income and relying on aid to fill basic needs
-Using unreliable internet to try and promote your fundraiser to evacuate
A big number of Gazans want to remain on their land and we must also focus our efforts into supporting Palestinian led mutual aid funds that will help their communities.
Life is very difficult in Gaza right now and if you support Palestinians, you also need to understand that the situation is critical and evacuation fundraisers are unfortunately the fastest way to bring a lot of Gazan families out to safety and to start their process of healing.
Once Gazans actually evacuate, the process to rebuild their lives is long and arduous, and as of now there is a constant need for support.
Please consider donating your time, money and attention to the above causes.
We owe it to Palestinians to amplify their voices and their right to self determination.
Listen to the oppressed and amplify their fundraisers.
This is what they are directly asking of us.
Keep fighting for a Free Palestine but understand that these mutual aid and evacuation fundraisers are very important and essential to guaranteeing the survival and healing of Gazans right now.
