Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Alleged Undisclosed Internal VIP Ticket Allocation and Preferential Access

Dear Representatives of Live Nation Malaysia and GoLive Asia,

This correspondence serves as a formal complaint and request for clarification regarding allegations of undisclosed internal allocation and preferential access involving VIP tickets for the upcoming BTS World Tour dates in Kuala Lumpur.

Concerns have arisen following the circulation of social media posts and direct message exchanges indicating that certain individuals, including self-identified influencers, may have had access to VIP tickets through what was described as an “internal booking” arrangement outside the publicly disclosed ticketing process. Attached screenshots include:

  • A public Instagram story from Instagram user “arieskwanishere” (“the influencer”) advertising the availability of BTS tickets;
  • A direct message exchange between the influencer and several other Instagram users (collectively, “ARMY”) in which the influencer stated the tickets were obtained through “internal booking”;
  • A subsequent statement identifying themselves as an influencer;
  • Evidence showing that the Instagram story was later deleted shortly after inquiries were made;
  • A Threads post by user “_shyuen0126” alleging that Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur sold VIP tickets through hotel stay packages priced at RM5,500, and claiming that more than 50 tickets had already been sold through this arrangement by mid-April before public sales concluded [direct link to Threads post: https://www.threads.com/@_shyuen0126/post/DYwfLqQGBX9?xmt=AQG06nbYoMxfi0MRwQgVG5jqQGbw9WL78XAAYrX2PY3ZUHw26YmQSKJ8tr3Ca02TXQTSlWw&slof=1 ];
  • Comments within the same Threads discussion suggesting that consumers attempting to purchase VIP tickets through the official ARMY membership pre-sale, LiveNation pre-sale, and general public sale had little realistic opportunity to secure them due to alleged pre-allocation practices.

The relevant messages include statements such as:

“direct from internal booking one”
“Im influencer”
“VIP Tickets were sold at RM5500 to those that signed up for their stay package”
“it has sold out 50+ tickets”

The deletion of the Instagram story shortly after questioning, together with the circulation of the Threads allegations, further raises concerns regarding the legitimacy, transparency, and fairness of the ticket allocation process.

If verified, these circumstances may indicate:

  • Undisclosed preferential treatment or insider allocation practices;
  • Potentially misleading or deceptive conduct toward consumers;
  • Lack of transparency regarding actual ticket availability to the general public;
  • Unfair commercial practices affecting equal consumer access;
  • Commercial partnerships or package allocations that were not clearly disclosed during public ticket sales.

Formal clarification is therefore requested on the following matters:

  1. Whether any internal allocation, influencer allocation, reserved inventory, hotel allocation, corporate allocation, or private booking mechanism existed for VIP tickets;
  2. Whether any allocation involving hotel packages, including arrangements connected to Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, reduced public ticket availability;
  3. Whether influencers, affiliates, promoters, hotels, sponsors, or third parties received priority access not disclosed to consumers;
  4. Whether these practices comply with applicable consumer protection and fair trading obligations;
  5. Whether an internal investigation will be conducted into the allegations and supporting evidence provided;
  6. Whether the organizers will publicly disclose the quantity of VIP tickets allocated outside the general public sale process.

Given the substantial public interest and the financial implications associated with these ticket sales, a prompt response and transparent public clarification would be appropriate to preserve consumer trust and confidence in the integrity of the ticketing process.

Please treat this correspondence as a formal complaint and request for investigation. Given the urgency of the matter and the imminent commencement of the ARMY membership pre-sale on 3 June 2026, a written acknowledgment and substantive public response before the ARMY membership pre-sale begins would be appreciated.

Regards,
