Thursday evening

Dear Friend

I am in bed with the ‘flu but I have written to the National about you. Send your painting anyway. I think it will be fine,

[Page 2]

even though you are warning me quite late.

In any case the National has changed, is divided into two and our friends do not exhibit their works there any longer – but at the salon nouveau, called salon the « Tuileries », founded last year.[1]

As soon as I am better I will give you some news of the matter.

Yours,

A.D.

Editorial Notes:

André Dézarrois (1890-1979), Director of La Revue de l’art ancien et moderne. Dézarrois was painted by de László in 1923 [110995].

Dézarrois’ reference to the creation of the Salon des Tuileries “last year” suggests the letter was written in 1924.
