What We're Learning

Reading/ELA

We will continue Unit 3: Poetry. They have a Poetry Terms study guide that they will need to study throughout the unit. Their quiz over these terms will be on Friday, October 10th.

They will NOT have morphology words this week. They will begin their Unit assessment on poetry on Thursday.  Daily grades will also be taken throughout the week.

Science/Social Studies

We will finish learning about the 1920’s and begin learning about animal and plant classification. Study charts will be sent home on Tuesday for them to begin learning the different groups and what belongs in them. 4-H will be here Wednesday for their lesson.

Math

We have started Module 2, FRACTIONS!  This week we will reviewing simplifying and finding equivalent fractions..  A new vocabulary study guide goes home this week to review fraction terms such as mixed number, improper fraction, and numerator/denominator. The voc quiz will be Wednesday/Thursday.  Following Fall Break, we will start adding fractions with unlike denominators.
