(As for how Stamina affect HP and MP, we know that based on your Stamina, your HP and MP will show something like 130 /100 + 30 but with the new changes to it, you will see your HP and MP displayed as 130/130 meaning, they are still affected by stamina. So this might mean stamina will be indicated as buff as I’ve seen on what KTERA have been discussing. You can also zoom that image above to kinda see it. EU TERA - Simplification of the UI: less buff/debuff displayed, stamina removed from UI… An UI easier to understand.

NA TERA -

Guild Raid

GvG Raid 

Guild battle to take over Velika(?) PvP end content.

Improved Community activity(?) by establishing hostile/allied relationship, Guild growth element through some kind of farming(?) added. Added Guild Skill. Not sure what the new GvG is about but the screen shots of  skills shown on powerpoint seemed to be somewhat complete.  

EU TERA - GvG (end game PVP content) - A weekly timer for war between guilds in order to rule over Velika, depending on how you cooperate with the other guilds. Create and protect your outpost!

NA TERA -

  • Battles between guilds to fight for the right to rule over Velika.
  • New competitive content where the outcome depends on guild cooperation and conflict.
  • Enhanced guild benefits to energize the community and provide more activities to engage with.
  • Complete guild missions for added benefits and skills.
  • Tax rates are not set to change.

After Human/Popori alliance’s victory against Devan empire

a conflict rises from two sides competing over Velika which have industrialized to city of economy.

With the invasion of argons, the civil war quickly ends to create Valkyon Federation.

They travel through dimension back to the ear of war to change the history

Rules and Rewards

Each guild can construct an outpost before the start.

Battle Royale style - The last standing guild’s outpost wins.

The winning guild claims the accumulated tax.

Tip: Protect our outpost and destroy enemy outpost for victory!

The current dungeons had requirements to learn the mechanics beforehand from guides. Changed Monster’s patterns/ mechanics to be more instinctive.

( I’m sure you can guess what it means by Hurdle, but it just basically means Newbie-friendliness; It’s something koreans say when there’s something that prevents someone to overcome it, such as skill floor/ceiling.)

Ex1) When Boss says “DIE!”, something like “You will not receive damage if avoided at correct timing.”  will appear to clearly indicate what to do.

Ex 2)  During combat, the circular  AoE indicators will be blue, orange, or red to clarify different mechanics.

EU TERA - New warning messages displayed and new indicators of AoE to help players with the mechanics of the game.

NA TERA -  

  • Clearly differentiate boss dialogue and action messages to prevent confusion.
  • Ease attack attributes and timing difficulties.

30-Man Raid

Burst of Celerity is removed, and all skill casting speed are increased.

According to discussions and Q&A, BHS believed that Sorcerers relied too much on BoC, about as much as Warrior’s Edge and Archer’s Velik’s Mark. There’s constant debate on this in forums it seems but I don’t know much about Sorcerer to really understand what they’re talking about… the link to this is just below this.

DISCLAIMER: There are speculations via informal settings that the next class will be a sort of Elin witch class. Before the ninja class, there was a debate on whether to release the witch class or ninja class- and as we know now, the chosen class was ninja.

Bluehole’s new class development team had a debate which resulted in two things for Elin’s new class: a Ninja that can attack quickly or Witch that can attack by using a staff freely. But Ninja have been chosen as it has high-action with dynamic skills which will go well with TERA.

Q : You’ve said there will be Dungeon Revamp but can the developers create something like Rotation guide for new or returning players?

A : Even if we do make one, there won’t be much of an effect. Therefore, we’re planning to learning skills easier per level during progression and simplify some complex skills.

Q : One of the biggest concerns that new or returning players have is optimum rotations ( or most effective rotation), so we think it’d be best if you can provide rotations based on player data.

A : We have also thought about this where we provide information based on out data, but we find that its effectiveness may be diminishing, therefore have been postponed. As we belive that the best method is by learning through experience via gameplay so we plan to make revisions on that regard.

( Personally don’t like the idea. This can be both good and bad… it may somewhat help new players to learn their class better, but it depends on how it is implemented. Also, having a static build is boring; I’d wish there’d be more diverse way to play each class. People have different play stlye and preferences, they need to consider than more tbh. At a current state we need to have new players play a certain style to “be good” at that class. >_> we’ll see how these class changes go though.

Also. “ by learning through experience via gameplay”, even BHS is telling people to “git gud”. We won’t complain if that was the case for some people. Disparity among class is real.)

Q : There were no Warrior (Tank) for the recent endgame contents testing. Does this mean Warriors are no longer Tanks? Are there any reason why they weren’t selected?

A : As for Warriors, where have been several issues, so we’re planning to work on Sorcerer first, and it’s not that we did not select any Warrior tanks, we couldn’t… There weren’t many volunteers so we had to chose someone from development team. (??? why not just… nvm)

Q : Sometimes there are cases when ninja used Smoke Bomb and they still die. When will this get fixed?

A : We have plans to fix as soon as we can next update.

A : We will fix them as soon as we confirm the issue.

Q : When Matching for Champion’s Skyring, it should be based on rankings, like when comparing to LoL, Bronze goes against Diamond when new player just cannot compete, then this cause the regulars to stay while the new players get kicked and it just ends up the game of their own. Will this be fixed?

( Issue related to Champion’s Skyring which is not very noob-friendly, causing kicks and “just a game for themselves” where it’s just same people playing it. )

A : We are aware of this issue and Champion’s Skyring requires high skill and majority of players there are hardcore, so class balance, things that needs to be considered, and in long-terms we need to secure the next update which have low expectation from many players but there have been voices saying to keep it running so until this issue can be revised, the range of ranking must be increased. With this kept in mind, we will try to work toward this after next patch.

( I know it’s hard to read. They’re aware about the disparity among hardcore players, skilled players and new players and have taken consideration when adjusting balances, other things that needs to be considered, etc They’re probably going to work on matching by ranking but I’m not sure it’s what they’re really saying. )

Q : What do you think about Battlegrounds queueing up disregarding the ranks? Also, what will you do about Battlegrounds being difficult to approach for new players?

A : We’ve expanded the Ranking range for matching, not matching based on ranking. There aren’t many players on Champion’s Skyring as it was designed for players who are skilled in PvP, so we have expanded the range of ranking for matching during queues after requests from players who had difficulties in queueing up. In long-terms, we will makes PvP Balance adjustments along with GvG Raid, then we will attempt on making adjustments to small-scale PvP balances so that Battlegrounds would be more active as possible.

Q : You can use Noctenium in Corsair’s Stronghold for “free” but not in Champion’s Skyring? Will there be changes to make them unusable?

A : We will consider it but the reason why we didn’t make it “free” is so that players can enjoy PvP at 0% additional bonus. We can make them unusable.

Q : Corsair’s Stronghold have Noctenium active as default, but why not on Champion’s Skyring?

A: Champion’s Skyring was designed for pure combat without the effects from consumables. However, since the initial plans may not satisfy the current state, we will investigate on using Nocteniums in Champion’s Skyring as default.  

Q : Are there any plans to add new Battleground?

A : After we finish creating the next contents and when balance have been adjusted, then we will work on PvP.

Q : I am a healer, and due to the imbalance between Priest and Mystic, Mystic parties often receive Priest buffs before entering dungeon. What do you think about this?

A : We are aware of this and we will try to make adjustments as soon as possible.

A : It is not Healer. We will keep the race secret. ( but they said it’s female )

Q : Is there only changes to Sorcerer on this summer update? There are several glitches regarding charging (Headlong Rush, Onslaught, Overwhelm, Jagged Path, etc) skills; when will these be fixed?

A : About the charging skills, even the Balancing Staff is furious about it as he have also experienced it, and he have attempted to fix it but it didn’t really work. (They forgot about the first half of the question)

Q : Are there only changes to Sorcerers in the upcoming Summer update? Will other older classes be revised as well on the same update?  

A : There are plans for all older classes. But, we are making changes in the order of importance. First will be Sorcerer’s changes, then plans for other older classes as well.

Q : Melee DPS does not feel very appealing compared to Ranged DPS what do you think about this? Ranged DPS may be powerful but appealing.

A : On the next dungeon, we made sure to design it to avoid that issue. We have long-term plan to make changes so that there won’t be discrimination between Ranged and Melee DPS.

A : In the future dungeons we have designed it to not discriminate between melee and ranged classes. Also, we have long-term revision plans to the differences between melee and ranged classes outside of new dungeons.

Q : Does that mean there will be changes in next update?

A : We have considered but we plan to fix the classes that may affect gameplay if it not fixed immediately, with the goal of continuously adjusting  balance until it is stable.

A : In the future dungeons we have designed it to not discriminate between melee and ranged classes. Also, we have long-term revision plans to the differences between melee and ranged classes outside of new dungeons.

Q : Will there be Ninja and Brawler Nerfs? Brawlers are stronger than DPS.

A : We have discussed with the Raid Testers; it seem that it’d be better to improve the classes with issues rather than nerfing certain class which may deprive players. (basically they can’t nerf Ninja and Brawler)

Q : Any plans for Ninja and Brawler nerfs?

A : We are aware of the imbalance of the two classes compared to others. Instead of nerfs, we are planning to revise on the problems that other classes have to balance them.

Q : I am a healer and compared to Mystic, Priests are lacking in PvP. Mystics can excel, but Priests are lacking lock-ons. Are there any plans on changes for this? When? (This was kinda important)

A : We have considered it to make changes. About a month? There are some difficulties but it’s not that we misunderstood the issue, rather, there were many things we failed to consider. We will try to make changes as much as possible through consistent balance patches.

Q : As for Healer changes, will it be Mystic Nerf or Priest Buff?

A : It will not be one-sided nerf or buff; the main goal is making a balance in both sides, and it may be a mix of both buff and nerf. For healers we are focusing on adjusting Mystic’s capabilities, then we will seek to find a solution for issues related to Priest’s buffs.  

Q : So will that be Mystic nerf or Priest buff? Will it be within a month?

A : Both nerf and buff are planned. In regards to last year, the mystic’s changes have brought issues, so it is one of our priorities. As for Priest, their Buffs consume too much MP, so we plan to plan on making various mix of both buff and nerfs when planning to buff Priest. (I swear to god this grammar). Maybe we can expect it around next update on July ( Balance Staff panic intensifies ).

A : We are currently investigating on how to resolve this issue. We will try to fix this by the time we make Healer Balance Changes.

Q : I play Female Aman (or Amani, in case people point out) but the Heart Thrust does not chain after Startling Kick properly. I hear that there are difference in skill range (or hitbox range) among different race, so I wish this was fixed (or equalized).

A : It was designed that way because the original developer have said that there should be some differences among race, but the current balance staff disagrees as such racial trait have negative views. We will fix this (or anything related) as fast as possible.

A : Initially it was designed to have varying animation for the sake of racial identity despite being same class. But we no longer believe that this is needed any more. However, it is difficult to fix the animation issues, as as you have addressed, we will fix the needs on choosing a class based on racial traits and animations for chaining. As for New Classes for Poporis and Males, we are aware of your opinions, but as there are more preferences toward female class (......... see below x2 image) we have decided to release female class. Unfortunately, the upcoming New Class is also female.  

Q : There is a person who only play Popori. Won’t there be new class for Popori?

A : It’s not that we don’t want to make Male classes.. It’s just that there are much more players who prefer female characters ( LOL ). Regrettably, as written above, the new class is female. There might be a possibility for Popori’s new Class.

Their role is to facetank damage while delivering powerful damage. However, it seems that isn’t the case so we think that it needs revision. A : As for this part, it was to be considerate for the players. When you open some boxes, the cooldowns have been placed as a preventative measure against gambling addiction which may cause real life problems. We will look into this and revise if possible.

A : No plans for them. We will consider this but will not apply it any time “soon™”

Q : I’m using a DPS meter and I’m aware that TERA does not allow it because there will be issues such as kicking from parties. I want to know how much damage I did, and I must use this method to do so. Can’t you implement something similar so we can see our own DPS contribution in party?

A : As for DPS meter, LFG is one of the issue and harassment against other player would result in suspension. As for personal DPS meter, it’s difficult to implement so we are approaching it carefully.

A : We understand that the players want to use the DPS Meter. However, it is true that its negative impact can become sensitive subject as much as how important a party-play is in TERA. We plan to make revisions to alleviate hurdles (korean term, i’ll explain later if you dont understand) issues such as applications to join parties in LFG, and we are also considering on adding an official DPS Meter application, but due to its side-effects, we are investigating on it.

(Hurdles are what koreans say when there’s something that prevents someone to overcome it, such as skill floor/ceiling.)

A : Kumas (Battleground)’s main reward is Experience points and Killing Spree is a supplemental reward.

Q : It’s a bit strange that low level players can obtain Killing Spree credits so early in game which is used to purchase BiS gear materials. Can’t this be changed to low-level items?

A : Items are not important during progression. We are looking at Experience points as a major thing.

(Loriri’s NOTE: Also, on 4/21 patch: Players leveling up through Kumas Battleground can spend credits to purchase gears for progression.  Whoever asked that did not do his homework)

Q : Will there be any suspension levels regarding attention seekers in game? I’ve even reported their friends but they’re always there. Is the report function working properly?

A : We are trying various things as they ruin the game. However, we cannot make such change immediately. This exists in other games as well. We plan to make changes as much as possible.

Staff: Customer Service is always monitored and checked within 24 hours. There are things that are easy to resolve, some not.

Q : When battling in Alliance Territory and being forced to retreat to base, the guards are useless. Exarch’s Siege Cannons are too weak. Any changes or updates on this?

A : We’ve tried various changes but resulted in many failures. We will be removing Alliance next patch...

Q : Ninja has very high DPS, more than others. Do you know the reason why?

A : Depending on the angle of how Burning Heart is used, it can hit multiple times, which contributes as large part of their DPS.

( Some people have been asking why I’m laughing. 2/18 patch note : Adjusted the maximum number of hits per flame projectile to 3 hits. It’s not far from true, but they have other skill that does a lot more as well as much more stable/reliable. )

Q : Then you’ll nerf Ninjas right? They’re like more than 1.5x stronger than any class. Which they end up choosing select classes for ranking on Crusades.

A : Ninja’s development turned out to be too strong so we nerfed them by about 6%, which at first we planned to do it slowly, but if this becomes issue again we will patch it immediately.

Q : Sometimes I use Smoke bomb and die while casting or use One Thousand cuts and die while dashing forward. Sometimes I teleport in front of the boss instead of its back. When will this be fixed?
