The benefits of storytelling in English teaching for young learners
Abstract: Storytelling is the oldest form of teaching, and it is found in most cultures around the world as a way of transmitting cultural beliefs, experiences and traditions throughout generations. Instinctively, children love listening to stories, which is a magical moment and their imagination run freely. Storytelling creates a bond between teachers and students; this emotional connection creates a pleasurable environment and also enhances the learning processes. This session aims to discuss the many benefits of using stories in the classroom and ways to do so.
