About UFKB&S United Finnish Brothers & Sisters

Like many emigrants to the USA, Finnish people set out to improve upon their own luck in the New World. This required stops along the way where emigrants needed help, food, or other assistance. Though a very determined to succeed bunch, this group of newcomers did everything they could to find success.

This page has been created to represent the remaining Finnish Lodges that were created during major immigration periods to the United States from Finland. Immigrants needed many resources and assistance when they first arrived in this country. During that time, local lodges were formed to help newcomers gain their footing in a new land. Today, the lodges gather to celebrate their shared Finnish Cultural Heritage and to promote the food, art, music, song, dance and other cultural traditions herein..
