Big ORGephant Official Rules

The biggest rule is to be respectful of one another throughout the game. Not everyone will like each other at all times, but remember not to take anything personally or make judgements about each other’s character. After all, this game is for fun, and there is a grand prize of $0.

If you notice any breaches of the rules, please DM the host account or one of the producers on Instagram, and we will assess the situation privately.

Players

Alliance Chats:

  1. In order to speak with your fellow players about the game, you must create an Alliance Chat with them. To make an Alliance Chat, take the following steps:
  1. Create a group chat over Instagram DM’s with all of the players you would like to chat with and the “big.orgephant” account.
  2. Make “big.orgephant” admin.
  1. This way I can add and remove players and producers from the chat as necessary.
  2. If you have any questions on how to make chats, or make people admins, just ask in your Diary Room Chat!
  1. You may not message or communicate with your fellow players about the game in any way outside of the House Chat, Backyard Chat, and Alliance Chats.
  2. You are not permitted to send screenshots of Alliance Chats or Diary Room Chats in Alliance Chats.
  3. If an Alliance Chat is marked with the “❌” emoji as the group image, this means that Alliance Chat is closed. You may not message in closed Alliance Chats at all.

Competitions:

  1. Use of ChatGPT or any other form of AI chatbot is strictly prohibited for all competitions.
  2. Between the announcement of a competition, and when the results are announced, competitions are considered to be ongoing.
  3. While a competition is ongoing, you are free to message in Alliance Chats. However, you may not discuss strategies to complete the competition, or how well you think you are doing in a competition. Doing so will result in disqualification from that competition.
  1. Houseguests not competing in a competition must also abide by these rules.

Evicted Houseguests:

  1. If you are evicted in the Pre-Jury phase of the game, you will remain in the House Chat and the Backyard Chat as a spectator for the remainder of the season.
  1. You will not be placed in the Spec Chat. Instead, you will be placed in a special Pre-Juror Spec Chat.
  2. As a spectator, Pre-Jurors must also follow all the rules laid out in the Spectator section of this document.  
  1. If you are evicted in the Jury phase of the game, you will be removed from both the House Chat and the Backyard Chat. Jurors will be placed in the Jury Chat where they will be updated on the events going on in the game by the producers and the other Jurors being sent there.
  2. When a houseguest is evicted, all Alliance Chats they are in will be immediately closed. As stated above, you may not message in closed Alliance Chats at all.
  3. Players remaining in the game are also prohibited from messaging or communicating with evicted houseguests about the game on other platforms.
  4. If you would like to send a goodbye message to an evicted houseguest, you have 24 hours after their eviction to create one in your Diary Room Chat. One of the producers will then forward that message to the evicted houseguest.  

Additional Rules:

  1. Houseguests voting in any given eviction must submit a vote before the deadline. Failure to do so will prohibit you from competing in the following week’s POV competition.
  2. Houseguests must follow all of their fellow players on Instagram, and let all of their fellow players follow them.
  3. The producers reserve the right to add new rules to this document as needed.
  4. Breaking any of these rules will result in a punishment at the discretion of the producers up to removal from the game, Pre-Jury Spec Chat, or Jury Chat.

Spectators

  1. Spectators cannot post or send screenshots of the Spec Chat anywhere.
  2. Spectators cannot message or react in any game-related chats besides the Spec Chat.
  3. Spectators cannot message or communicate with the players about the game in any way on any platform.
  1. Be careful who you talk about stuff with! You never know who knows who, or how it might get back to the players.
  1. Spectators may not leave players’ Diary Room chats until the houseguest is evicted.
  2. The producers reserve the right to add new rules to this document as needed.
  3. Breaking any of these rules will result in a punishment at the discretion of the producers up to removal from the House Chat, Backyard Chat, Diary Room Chats, or Spec Chat.
