Our Team Win
- To lead our church in true worship and create an environment where others are able to worship and encounter God.
Guidelines
The Worship Team has a greater demand and responsibility than other teams. We are on the platform in front of people and because of that, we have a high standard of leadership. Paul writes some guidelines in 1 Timothy 3.
"...for those who want to be servants in the church: serious, not deceitful, not too free with the bottle, not in it for what they can get out of it. They must be reverent before the mystery of the faith, not using their position to try to run things... committed to their spouses, attentive to their own children, and diligent in looking after their own affairs. Those who do this servant work will come to be highly respected, a real credit to this Jesus-faith."
—from 1 Timothy 3:8-13 The Message
Worship Team members are servant-leaders who are committed to worship, Bible reading and prayer to keep their relationship with God fresh and to keep growing spiritually. Serve Team members should be solid in basic Christian character and must refrain from such things as profanity / illegal drugs / overindulgence in alcohol / being quick-tempered / sinful sexuality or other addictive behaviors.
