- Should buildings develop a support/ ancillary staff blog that can be shared by the support staff of a school?
- The committee recommended that Principals, Assistant Principals, Secretaries, Parent Liaisons, and Receptionists share responsibility for posting on their building’s school news blog. Personnel in each of these roles may have an additional optional blog if they decide to have one as well.
- Paraprofessionals, Cafeteria Managers, and Noon Hour Supervisors are not required to have a blog.
- School support staff, including the special education resource teacher, psychologist, bilingual resource teacher, speech teacher, hearing impaired specialist, occupational therapist, and social workers may have a layout page on the school website that will allow them to share their background information and provide links or resources for the students and parents they support. They will not be required to post on a weekly basis, but shall have support information available on their layout page to assist the parents and students they service (i.e. tips for ELL learners).
- Elective area teachers, including Art, PE, Music, Technology Education, Enrichment, and World Language teachers, will need to maintain and update their individual blogs.
