West Hills Mission Statement

The mission of West Hills High School is to graduate critical thinkers and problem-solvers who contribute positively to society as productive, responsible citizens.

Quote of the day:  “When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” -  Willie Nelson

Students who are dropped off at school:  Students are not to be dropped off anywhere along the service road that runs along the back side of campus. Non-staff vehicles are not allowed to drive along the service road for any reason. Student drop off is located in 4 different areas on or around campus: the East & West lots, the flag circle, and the drop-off turnabout located at the H.O.C. parking lot entrance off of Oakbourne & Rumson. Please adjust your routes and drop off points accordingly. Thank you for your cooperation!

Students--the West Hills Foundation is giving thanks for such a great school community by offering discount student tickets for the Comedy Night this Saturday, Nov. 18. For just $10 you can come laugh with these comedians featured on Comedy Central, NetFlix and other venues! Come at lunch near the finance office to buy your discount ticket! Comedians Mark Christopher Lawrence and Josh Lawson will be on campus today selling tickets to the show.  We're raising funding for shade.

9th graders - Your Chromebook cases have finally arrived and will be distributed by Global Studies teachers. If you are not enrolled in Global Studies with Morrison, Reyes, or Young, please come to the library as soon as possible to receive your case. Thank you for your patience, and continue to take good care of your Chromebooks!

FINAL WARNING! Students who have still not returned signed Chromebook Responsible Use Policy (RUP) forms have one last chance before their Chromebooks will be locked. These students should receive another copy of the RUP form delivered to class today. Per our school admin team, Chromebooks for these students will be locked if the signed form is not returned to Ms. Sannwald in the library by the end of Monday, November 27th, which is the day we get back from Thanksgiving break. Set a reminder for yourself!

The Homeless and Hunger Awareness will be collecting new blankets, socks, and granola bars this week.  Donation bins can be found in the front office and the library.

Midnight madness is tonight!  Make sure to come for a great kick off to the basketball season.  It starts at midnight and is $3.00 with an ASB sticker $5.00 without.

Hey class of 2020!  Come to the black circle today at lunch to pick up your pre-ordered class t-shirts.

The UCSD Anita Borg Leadership and Engagement Program kicks off with a luncheon on Saturday November 18th. This new and innovative program is a great opportunity for girls in grades 10-12 interested in Computer Science and Engineering! For more information about the program and how to register, see Miss Catlett in the Counseling Office!

Students: Thank you for your work, dedication, time, attention and investment in YOU and YOUR FUTURE by being the best Pack member you can be! We wish you a terrific Thanksgiving week and look forward to our return on Monday, November 27 to a late start Monday schedule. We will have just a few weeks until Finals and there is A LOT you can do to continue your good grades and improve them. TALK with your teachers if your grade is not at a "C" or better--YOU deserve to keep all doors open to you and repeating a class is so not a good use of your time! With respect and good cheer, go forth and enjoy Thanksgiving! Be safe! From Mrs. Ballarin and the entire West Hills Faculty and Staff.
