Hiring: Analyst/Associate - Fundraising

CENSIE Capital Partners is looking to hire an Associate to be a part of the fundraising team. We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset, who is extremely passionate about the Indian startup ecosystem, and looking to work in a fast-paced work environment. The candidate is to manage multiple mid-size transactions for Indian technology companies

LOCATION (VIRTUAL ROLE) - Preference Delhi/NCR, Mumbai

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 Years of relevant experience in fundraising, Investing, or operator roles
  • Experience in planning and executing fundraising for early-stage (preferred)/late-stage tech companies         
  • People with Startup/Angel Investing, Syndicate, or Investment Banking backgrounds will be given preference
  • Attention to detail and hands-on working with multiple people at a point in time
  • Intuitive understanding of early-stage businesses and different entrepreneurial styles

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate shall be responsible for:

  • Deal Sourcing/Evaluation: Building Deal sourcing funnel, Evaluating startups based on business competitiveness, revenue model, Performance metrics, and other key parameters; building relationships with founders and tracking their business progress from time to time
  • Building fundraising strategies: Closely working with founders and strategizing Seed to Series-B fundraising, working on storytelling/ Business Pitch, modeling financial KPI, conducting market & competitive analysis building a business case
  • End-to-end Execution: Working with multiple stakeholders within the team, identification, sourcing, pitching to the targetted potential Investors, setting up calls, and handholding the founder in the overall fundraising process from early discussion to Term Sheet signing
  • Market Analysis and Research: Mapping emerging trends, conducting detailed segment/market analysis, and mapping local and global peer companies (category creator, category leader/followers), business model comparison
  • VC Relationship Building: Building relationships with Venture Capitalist across the globe, tracking their investment thesis, and investment strategies for the Indian market
