Dear Fülöp,

In my last letter I forgot to thank you for the two nice postcards and the splendid issue of the Times.^[2] They gave us great pleasure.

Let me now give you some details of our British holiday plans. We are trying hard to get Ottó Légrády^[3] to join us and while he does not say that he won’t come, we nevertheless fear that he will end up staying at home.

As our plans stand at the moment, our trip will last forty-four days. We set off from Budapest on the 4th of July, through Germany and Belgium to Calais, from where we will set foot on English soil at Dover. We will stay in London until the 16th of July and devote the next ten days to Scotland, motoring up to Inverness. We will dedicate the final days of July to the Lake District. At the beginning of August we will be near Liverpool, from where we might go across

to Ireland. On the 5th of August we go to Machynlleth, to the Eisteddfod, where our Welsh friends are getting ready to dub myself and Gyula Kornis^[4] honorary Welsh Bards. After Wales we will explore the west coast of England, doing our social duty by our scattered acquaintance there.

We leave England on the 14th or 15th, from Dover, and will go to Paris for three days, after which we head to Switzerland for some rest, returning home to our Rózsadomb^[5] home on August 23rd.

So there you have our programme, dear Fülöp. I need hardly say how happy we would be if we could also manage to see you and yours, but of course only if this does not entail disturbing you during your holiday.

We will be sending out the Hungarian version of your book^[6] in the next few days, to public collections and public libraries and to prominent members of our acquaintance.
