Cloud Software Architect

When I started in VMS they were using AWS but I moved the company to Google Cloud Platform because of their new, and the first, fully managed serverless platform: GAE (Google App Engine). Since then all development was done using a mix of: GAE, GCE (Compute Engine), Cloud Functions, Firebase Functions, Cloud SQL and NoSQL (Datastore, Firestore, Firebase Real Time DB) for OLTP - OnLine Transaction Processing and Big Query for OLAP (OnLine Analytical Processing), Cloud Storage, Cloud CDN, Cloud Run, Cloud Scheduler, Pub/Sub, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio and more.

Created a video CMS platform for WSOF (World Series of Fighting, later PFL).
Created the LinkShot.io platform (app.LinkShot.io) which is a high scalable video CMS and mass SMS delivery (using Twilio, Vibes, CLX, Sinch) platform where the development was outsourced to Luxoft.com under my supervision, management of around 30 developers.
With the arrival of new technology we decided to go further, then the platform was migrated from Serverless to FaaS (Function as a Service) and BaaS (Backend as a Service). At that time we were using JWPlayer and YouTube for video hosting and transcoding services, because theirs limitations and restrictions we replaced them by creating our own video transcoding and hosting platform running FFmpeg and NodeJS in Docker and Kubernetes on GAE flexible environment and storing the data in Cloud Storage and Firestore allowing us to reduce drastically the high video processing costs (85% reduction costs plus unlimited delivery).
Created a real time video streaming platform (VOD also) obtaining less than half a second delay, to achieve this low delay we used RTMP for upstream and WebSocket for downstream, transcoding on FFmpeg in NodeJS.
