Community & Student Engagement

2016/17

House Bill 5, passed into law at the 83rd session of the Texas Legislature, created many changes for public education, including the establishment of a Community and Student Engagement and Compliance rating (CSEC) for schools. The new rating system gives schools an opportunity to perform a self-evaluation and take a close look at campus and district performance in eight categories of community and student engagement and one aspect of policy compliance.

Community and Student Engagement Meeting Minutes

The Woodsboro District-Wide Improvement Committee met Thursday, June 1, 2017

11:00 a.m.

Members reviewed the Student Survey and the Campus Indicators.  Areas of concern were discussed, and a threshold was considered for areas that did not meet exceptional levels for the student survey.

An evaluation scale was determined using a point system for the campuses and a combined point scale for the district.  An additional Parent and Community Survey will be added next year and the point value will be adjusted accordingly.
