Caelus was lounging around in the passenger cart, minding his own business. Looking at his phone, he was chatting with Firefly. It’s become a bit of a daily occurrence for them to chat at least once. The stuff they talked about ranged a little, but they were always fun for him.

That’s when he noticed something coming up in front of him. Before he could react, a blue holographic figure appeared before him. It was a young man with messy black hair and glasses. On his back was a distinctly shaped sword.

“Hello? Is this thing on?” The young man comments while turning around. That’s when he sees Caelus sitting on the couch before him. “I know you…”

“Well, yeah. I am the Galatic Baseballer, after all!” Caelus proclaimed while standing up. A brief silence passed as the man couldn’t help but laugh.

“Nice introduction, man! March wasn’t kidding when she said the new guy was on the goofy side.” The young man waves his hands. A door opens, revealing the Astral Express conductor, Pom Pom.

“Ah. Caelus! There you are! I was looking for y-“ Pom Pom stopped when he noticed the young man behind the hologram. “Jaehun! What are you doing here?”

“Heya, Pom Pom! I thought I would call you guys up after a bit. How’s my favorite conductor doing?” Jaehun asks with an intrigued expression.

“Tough but manageable. You should learn to call more! And how come you don’t send any gifts to me?!” Pom Pom pouts a little while folding his arms.

“My bad. It’s kinda hard to find stuff that you’d like. The souvenirs I’ve been finding are less than stellar! But I’ll try and find something on the next planet.” Jaehun lets out an embarrassed chuckle.

“How do you two know each other? You said that you’ve talked to March before?” Caelus asked from the side.

“Ah, right. My bad. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jaehun. Before you joined, I was also a Nameless on the Astral Express.” Jaehun introduces himself with a small smile as he introduces himself. “Though I’ve parted ways from the Express temporarily, I still follow the way of the Trailblaze. I’ve heard stories about you from March 7th and Dan Heng. Nice to finally talk to you, Caelus.”

“That so? They better be saying cool things about me.” Caelus fakes pouts at the idea, and Jaehun simply folds his arms.

“Sure. I guess you could say something like that.” Jaehun does his best to hide a smirk, but that is enough to tell Caelus everything. Jaehun turned to Pom Pom with a more severe expression. “As much as it’s fun to talk like this, this isn’t a pleasure call. I’m kinda calling for a bit of assistance.”

“Is it something serious?” Pom Pom notes with a concerned look.

“Nothing overly serious. I’m back in Saranthia right now. And I think I can locate the Stellaron that Himeko and Mr. Yang were looking for the first time they arrived here.” Jaehun shakes his head slowly as his demeanor becomes much more severe. “And it’s quite the tough ordeal to find it. I don’t think I could handle it alone if I’m being serious. Especially since I’ve got this on my back.”

Jaehun motions to his sword with a small frown. Instantly, Pom-Pom seemed to know what Jaehun was talking about, while Caelus was a bit in the dark regarding all this. But he had to ask the major questions first.

“Himeko and Mr. Yang went to this world before?” Caelus raises, which the other two look over.

“Yeah. It was a while ago. They detected the presence of a Stellaron but couldn’t find anything concrete despite how long they looked. While they were here, they met me while I was doing something important. Given I was a native, I tried to help them while they helped me with my ordeal. But we couldn’t find anything.” Jaehun shakes his head with a small frown. “In the end, they had to give up due to circumstances.”

“Circumstances? What kind?” Caelus asked.

“Hostilities. Technically, it was towards me, and they also received it for being associated with me. But given everything, they also invited me to join them. Given everything, I decided to join them and become a Nameless.” Jaehun smiles at the memories. Caelus couldn’t help but be interested in this guy since he hadn’t heard anything about him before. Before asking another question, Jaehun noticed something outside of what the hologram could see. “Sorry... I think I need to hang up the call right now. If it’s too much of a hassle, I can try and see if I can get someone else to come around. It was a pleasure meeting ya, Caelus. It was nice to see you, too, Pom-Pom. I’m signing off for now!”

“Jaehun!” The hologram breaks up as Pom Pom calls out to the figure. He looks down contemplatively, with Caelus frowning at the whole situation. It almost sounded like he was being attacked at that moment. It was something to be concerned about.

“I’m going to message the others,” Caelus quickly goes through his phone, sending a quick message to the others. He gives a brief explanation about the hologram and requests assistance. Before long, everyone else responds quickly to the news and says they will arrive shortly. Thirty minutes later, everyone is waiting in the passenger car except for March, who they are all waiting for.

“Hey! Is everything alright?! What happened to Jaehun?” March shouts out to the others as she practically barges into the room with a heavy breath

“We were just discussing about it. However, I don’t think we should worry too much about what happened to Jaehun. Shortly after the hologram ended, he sent a message saying that he was alright.” Dan Heng explained, which breathed a sigh of relief towards the pink-haired nameless.

“I was running to get here and didn’t even check my phone!” March takes her phone out of her pocket and sees the few messages sent to her.

“Despite that, Jaehun has never sent a distress signal like this. It’s rather concerning that this has happened in the first place.” Himeko notes.

“What’s this place like? I haven’t heard anything about it.” Caelus raised with the other members and looked at each other. However, Welt rises while readjusting his glasses.

“The land of Saranthia isn’t a technologically advanced world. However, it’s worth noting that few credible sources ever exist regarding its landscape. But from it all, we know that the world revolves around military enforcement that certain people in power reign over others.” Welt explains while taking out his phone. He hands it over to Caelus to see a picture of what it looks like. “A huge percentage of them are enslaved at the whims of Deathless warlords.”

“Deathless???” Caelus was perplexed by that statement. What did that exactly mean?

“Not much is known about them. But they seem to have a glaring issue. They cannot die.” Welt states that it seemed fascinating to hear Caelus.

“They can’t die?! Then, it’s similar to what’s happening with Blade?”

“Similar in scope, but very different.” Dan Heng answers next while contemplating it all. “Unlike Blade, the Deathless apparently can die. But it’s only the body that does. Once the body dies, they reappear shortly after, almost like nothing has happened.”

“Regardless of it all. We need to talk about the reason he went to talk to us. He said that he was in trouble. And Welt and I did fail to retrieve the Stellaron in the first place.” Himeko comments while folding her arms. “But unlike before, I don’t think we’ll have many allies here. Especially given that most of the notable figures are the Deathless. At most, we’ll have each other and Jaehun.”

“So it’s a play where we’ll be kicking everyone’s ass?” Caelus comments with March, who gives a slight frown.

“That’s a rather blunt way of putting it! In any case, are we going to Jaehun’s homeworld?” March asks the older members of the crew. A brief moment of silence was passed, with Himeko taking the lead.

“We do have to take responsibility for uncovering the Stellaron in Saranthia. If Jaehun found a way to find it, we should be there to help him. Especially since he’s still one of us.” Himeko states, receiving a nod of approval from Welt. March’s expression lit up from the fact as she turned to Dan Heng and Caelus. They also give enthusiastic nods towards it.

“From the sounds of it, we have the next destination in mind! In that case, it’s about time we hit the road, passengers! Pom-Pom will dispatch the Express shortly, and we’ll head to Saranthia! Please be seated!” Pom Pom declared as they made their way towards the engine room.

“Hey. Do you guys have anything about Saranthia that I should know about beyond what Mr. Yang told us?” Caelus talks to March and Dan Heng.

“Not really. Jaehun was already here when I broke free from the ice. And apparently, he’s been here even before Dan Heng.” March responds with a slight frown.

“The stories we got from him were relatively small since he’s from a small village. But even then, the amount of information from that world is almost contradictory.” Dan Heng's comments catch the interest of others.

“What do you mean by that?” Caelus asks as he tilts his head with interest.

“There are records from thousands of years ago that show the world of Saranthia being technologically advanced. They could traverse the cosmos, and a few Saranthians have traveled to the Luofu...” Dan Heng folds his arms to the next part. “And yet. A few hundred years later, when a person visited the world, it was almost like technology regressed backward to a point where phones seemingly never existed.”

“That much??? How do you go from interstellar travel to not having phones?!” March exclaimed in awe of Dan Heng’s statement.

“That is the mystery of Saranthia. Perhaps we’ll learn more about it by the time we arrive.” Dan Heng notes as a sound from the intercom catches everyone’s attention.

“The train is about to make the jump! Please! Everyone! Take your seats!” That was enough to alert everyone to take their seats except for the lone March. She stood firm where she was, thinking that her swordsmanship training from Yanqing and Yunli strengthened her enough to survive the jump.

In an instant, the pull of the Astral Express begins to warp at such high speeds as it makes its way to the land of Saranthia.

“For a bunch of Deathless, you don’t seem to have the bare minimum of honor.” Jaehun comments while slowly walking down the path. Around him laid the bodies of mechanical machines, slashed to pieces, and monsters lying on the other. “The law of Saranthia dictates that conflicts are resolved in 1v1 duels. And yet not none of you heeded that fundamental principle.”

“Tsk... How the hell did you survive that?! We had ten of us on you! Even if you could take down one of us, there's no way you can kill all of us!” The wounded swordsman exclaimed while lying against a stone pillar. He gripped his side while gritting his teeth in pain. “Even with that blade! It should be impossible!”

“This thing?” Jaehun looks at his sword, gripping the handle tightly while examining the blade with his other hand. “At the end of the day, it’s simply just a sword. The history that it has or what abilities it can do doesn’t even matter. And even then... The only merits it brings don’t even matter if I can’t land the killing blow against you. What happened today is all your fault.”

Jaehun points his blade towards the swordsman, aiming it right against his neck. The swordsman had a look of fear in his eyes. Fear of death that was about to fall him. His breathing started to become unsteady. Sweat was pouring down his face. He wanted to speak, but no words exited his lips as he was at Nameless’s mercy.

“How does it feel? It’s a very similar feeling to the thousands of people that your kind killed and enslaved. You’ve probably never felt it since you came back. But not this time. With this blade, we can take back our world!” Jaehun raises his blade above him. Gripping it with both hands, the blade engulfs in a blue light. Quickly, he slashes the swordsman where he lies as a burst of blue energy surrounds the two.

The swordsman’s body slumps to the ground, motionless. Jaehun looks at the body with a slight frown. He places the blade on his back before letting out a massive sigh. Picking up a nearby bag lying on the ground, he began his travels again. He rummages through his pocket and takes out his phone. There, he sees three notifications pop up.

One was from March, and a message said that the Astral Express was on its way. At that moment, he smiles vividly because he can reunite with the folks from the Astral Express. He turned his attention to the following message. It was a message from a particular girl with a rather blunt demeanor. A message regarding a game event that has just begun, as it was a request for grinding for a raid. He couldn’t help but laugh at that as he sent a quick response to both of them. Then, finally, he takes a look at the last message. It was a message request to the Divination Commission. A little guidance in the right direction, anything, would be fruitful. And there was a clear and distinct message that fueled his resolve. He clenched his phone, looked at the message, and breathed deeply.

“The cleansing and salvation of the world can only be made through the redemption of The Tyrant of Infinity and The Genius of Origin.”
