Request header
- Click on the
icon on the top right corner and choose “Request header” - Add the request header on the Name and Value columns
Response header
- Click on the
icon on the top right corner and choose “Response header” - Add the response header on the Name and Value columns
Disabling/enabling a header
- Find the header that you would like to disable
- Uncheck the checkbox on the left side of the header to disable the header, or check it to enable the header
Removing a header
- Find the header that you would like to remove
- Click on the
on the right side of the header to remove (remember that you can disable a header without removing it!)
Filtering
- Click on the
icon on the top right corner and choose “Filter” - You can enable ModHeader only on certain URLs or certain types of requests. Filtering by URLs can use a wild-card character * (for example, *.google.com*). Filtering by resource type can be one or more of the possible resource types in the list.
Profiles
- You can have many profiles to store your ModHeader settings
- Click on the profile name on the title bar to edit its name
- Click on the
on the top left corner to switch to a different profile - Click on the
on the top right corner to delete, clone, export, or import the current profile - Only the currently selected profile is active at a given time
Cloud backup
- All of your edits are automatically saved to your accounts in Chrome
- To restore to a previous edit, click on the
on the top left corner - Click on the
Cloud backup option - You will see a list of backup profiles on your account. Click on the one you want to restore.
Export
- Click on the
on the top right corner - Select
Export to export your current profile as JSON - Store it wherever you want
Import
- Click on the
on the top right corner - Select
Import to import a JSON string (See Export) - Your current profile to be overridden to the imported profile
Tab locking / unlocking
- Click on the
TAB LOCK button to restrict header modification to the current tab. ModHeader will not change headers for any other tab, even if the locked tab is closed. - To unlock, click on the
UNLOCK button. ModHeader will modify the headers for all tabs.
