Process for mentoring
Step 1 – Complete this informational form
Step 2 – Submit the 2-year provisional license to (Two-Year Provisional License Form for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Interpreters) to: Christian Wernau (cwernau@zumbroed.org) & Mary Cashman-Bakken (mary.cashman-bakken@state.mn.us)
Step 3 – The region will connect the Mentee with a Mentor
Step 4 – The Mentor, in collaboration with the Mentee will develop a plan for professional learning to meet the knowledge and skills of the identified assessment and submit to Christian Wernau.
Step 5 – Each month the Mentees will receive a form to complete electronically that indicates what activities were completed.

Recommended that they start with the EIPA.  The region will reimburse one time upon passing the EIPA. Mentee will need to submit receipt and passing score of 3.5 - 3.9 on the EIPA.  The Region 10 Projects is developing a resource library to assist in passing the EIPA.  There is an expectation that the Mentees complete the training materials from the regional resource library as well as work on their skills with their mentor.
