What qualifies as a professional development (PD) opportunity? A PD opportunity can be a wide variety of specialized training, formal education, or advanced professional learning intended to improve professional knowledge, competence, skill, and effectiveness. Activities such as conferences, trainings, webinars all qualify! In addition, you can also apply for professional association fees (e.g. American Society of Public Administration membership).
Applications are due by the last Friday in each month and will be processed by the first Wednesday of the following month. You will be notified whether your application has been approved or declined by the second Wednesday of that month. For example, applications will be due April 28, 2017 and then be reviewed May 3. Applicants will be notified no later than May 10. You may apply at any time throughout the year, but please be mindful of processing time when submitting your application.
Grants are provided on a reimbursement basis. If approved for a grant, you will need to send a copy of your receipt to email@example.com and ynpnGO will send you a reimbursement check within 10 business days. If you are financially unable to pay for opportunity upfront and receive reimbursement, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and alternative payment methods will be discussed.
