Superintendent Mid-Year Evaluation
The Board of Education is engaged in a mid-year evaluation of its new Superintendent of Schools, Garth Harries, and would like input from parents, teachers, administrators, and school staff about the direction of the school district. Community participation played an important role in last year’s superintendent search process, and we look forward to hearing from you again.

With help from the community, the Board of Education created a job description for the new superintendent around the following priorities: visibility and accessibility; parent engagement; strong teacher and leader development; global, multicultural view of education; wraparound services for families; student-centered philosophy; student engagement; strong communications; budget management; focus on disengaged youth; transparency; strong community collaboration; commitment to child development; commitment to rigorous academics; and improved school and district climate.
