Step 1 is to sign up as a member of Waterways Experiences at www.wexp.org.uk
Step 2 is to join a trip as a nominal 4th crew member. This will give you the chance to observe, chat to the skipper, crew and clients so get a fuller picture of our organisation and how we work.
Step 3 is a training day on Sheldrake 2 or Close Shave, both wide beam 12 passenger boats. We assume that you are already reasonably competent in handling a canal boat and mooring up, or at least in operating locks,
Step 4 is an optional follow-up day to qualify you as crew for Sheldrake 3, our largest vessel which is subject to regulation by the Marine and Coastguard Agency.
Training days start promptly at 9.30 am and finish at 4.30 pm. Lunch is provided. Please contact email@example.com with any queries.
Thank you, and we look forward to welcoming you aboard.
