A Summer Conference Assistant (CA) is a student employed by the Department of Housing and Residence Life to live on campus, support camps and conferences and assist other departments and or areas of the university during the summer. CAs are the front-line customer service staff for the Department of Housing and Residence Life’s Summer Conference operations. A CA assists in servicing the needs of summer conference guests housed in UWG’s Residence Halls. Some summer conferences and camps include football camps, Freshman Orientation, special academic programs, cheer leading camps, dance camps, etc. CAs will be expected to assist with summer programs, assist with our 24-hour student services desk, creating bulletin boards, assist with summer orientation programs, works with facilities team, assists with early arrivals and move-in day if necessary.
