Program Contract *

Cardinal Connectors are expected to abide by the following regulations and expectations: 1) They are to meet with their assigned first year student(s) at least 1 (one) time every month. 2) They are expected to attend a training session for the program at the beginning of the academic year. 3) They are expected to work with the First Year Student to help that student become involved in the extracurricular/co-curricular activity in which they have demonstrated interest and help introduce the student to the resources available to further that interest (e.g. how to book the Usdan practice room or reserve equipment through the sound co-op or get involved with a senior thesis performance). 4) They are expected to abide by all aspects of the Code of Non-Academic Conduct and are expected not to provide access to alcohol or other illicit substances to underage students. Any student found violating the Code within the context of the program will be subject to immediate dismissal from the program and any sanctions stemming from the Student Judicial Board's review of the violations. 5) Upperclassman connectors are not expected to take the place of academic or peer advisors and should direct First Year Students with academic questions to their academic advisor, peer advisor or class dean. 6) Any major problems within the context of the program and the pairings made should be reported to the program coordinator in a timely manner. 7) Any violations in the terms this contract can lead to removal from the program. 8) To be eligible to serve as a Cardinal Connector one may either be i) a junior or a senior; or ii) a sophomore who participated in the Cardinal Connect program as a First Year Student. 9) To be eligible to receive an upperclassman Cardinal Connect pairing one must be an incoming First Year Student. 10) 10. Cardinal Connectors will be paired with anywhere between one (1) and three (3) First Year Students. 11) 11) All upperclassman Cardinal Connectors are expected to attend a training session during the first week of classes of the Fall Semester.
