4th General Education Expectation Survey
This survey aims to gauge student sentiments about establishing a 4th general education expectation at Wesleyan University. This new expectation will likely be one course focusing on diversity in one (or more) of its many forms, including but not limited to class, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, national and transnational cultures and cultural differences outside the U.S, non-English languages, and marginalized groups. The expectation would also include study abroad experiences. Students who meet this 4th general education expectation would be able to count it toward their Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 general education expectations; likewise students would be able to count Stage 1 and Stage 2 general education expectations toward their 4th general education expectation. Students would be able to petition for courses they believe fulfill the requirement if these courses are not already designated on WesMaps.
