Academic Affairs Student Survey
The WSA has two aims for this survey: (1) gauge student sentiments about establishing a 4th general education expectation and (2) understand student-faculty relationships. Thank you in advance for your participation. It greatly helps us!

*A note of the 4th general education expectation: This new expectation will likely be one course focusing on diversity in one (or more) of its many forms, including but not limited to class, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, marginalized groups, ability, national and transnational cultures and cultural differences outside the U.S., non-English languages, and the experience of studying abroad. The expectation will also include study abroad experiences. Students who meet this 4th general education expectation will be able to count it toward their Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 general education expectations; likewise students will be able to count Stage 1 and Stage 2 general education expectations toward their 4th general education expectation. Students will be able to petition for courses they believe fulfill the requirement if these courses are not already designated on WesMaps.

4th General Education Expectation
Environmental justice on an international level or something related to marginalized groups or inequalities that exist on an international level + their differences
What's your class year?
Do you think the University should adopt a diversity expectation?
Do you think a diversity expectation would promote a more inclusive environment?
Should a diversity expectation be one course?
What do you think of the diversity expectation counting academic experiences in the following topic areas: class, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, marginalized groups, political difference, ability, national and transnational cultures and cultural differences outside the U.S., non-English languages, and the experience of studying abroad? For reference, completion of one course (or semester, if one decides to study abroad) in any one of the above topic areas is sufficient to complete the expectation. Do you have any suggestions?
