Daily Shot Info and Request Form

Use this form to suggest a Daily Shot for the Wellesley College website homepage.

    Daily Shot Info

The Daily Shot consists of a large, horizontally-oriented photo and a related Wellesley story. Its goal is to—over time, through one-a-day examples—reflect the breadth and variety of the people and activities related to Wellesley, the depth of its history and traditions, and its engagement with the wider world. We appreciate suggestions from across campus for Daily Shot topics. If you’ve got an idea that fits the criteria, please fill out the form below. CRITERIA Image: A high-quality photo or graphical item that looks good at 930x475 pixels is required to make the Daily Shot work. Candid/action shots are vastly preferred to posed photos. Message: Does the story say something good about Wellesley? Story: Can you share content (whether an original story, link to a published item, or other relevant info) and name a person for interview or confirmation? Timeliness: Is the story tied to anything topical, such as current events, national or international holidays, Wellesley traditions or annual rituals, Wellesley or other historic anniversaries, key events or happenings? (Evergreen stories are good too, but if something is linked to, say, Women’s History Month, it’s great to get the story ahead of that month.) The earlier you submit your story with pertinent information and photos, the higher the likelihood that it can be featured. Variety: Coverage aims for a mix of students, faculty, alumnae, and the college at large. It's also desireable to mix news about awards, publications, events, achievements, etc. And varying the types of images keeps things interesting. Thank you for taking the trouble of sharing your story idea!
