Distance Learning Registration Request Form

Requests for Bronx Zoo Distance Learning Programs are accepted from September through the end of May. Your registration request is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email containing a contract and invoice, including order number. The Registrar will contact you directly if the dates you requested cannot be accommodated. Due to a high volume of requests, we highly recommend registering far in advance, especially for programs between February and May. Registration forms must be received at least 3 weeks prior to the requested date and are booked on a first come, first served basis. Before submitting your request, please consult your school's calendar regarding testing, school holidays, and half days. Please fill out one form for each program request. Distance Learning is currently designed for K - 6th grade. Please inquire about 7th - 12th grade programming and teacher demos. DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM POLICIES

Once your registration request has been processed, a confirmation email will be sent to you containing a contract and invoice, including an order number. The Registrar will contact you directly if the dates you requested cannot be accommodated. PAYMENT Distance Learning Program registrations must be paid in full 4 weeks prior to the first scheduled program date. Schools may make payment via check or credit card. Purchase Orders are accepted for distance learning program registrations as long as an approved copy is received by the Bronx Zoo Education Department 4 weeks prior to the first scheduled program date. Under no circumstances will programs be offered to without full payment or an approved purchase order within 4 weeks of first scheduled program date. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations made 4 weeks or more before the date of the scheduled program will be refunded 50% of the registration fee. There is no refund for cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior to the program date. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to distancelearning@wcs.org. Phone cancellations will not be accepted. here will be a $35 service charge for each change made to the original registration. Requests for changes to the registration cannot be made less than 4 weeks prior to the scheduled date of the program. In case of extreme weather conditions, please check your email for a cancellation notice. A full refund will be issued for programs cancelled due to weather. In the event of school closures or early dismissal, we will offer a full refund after receiving a notification from your school's principal. LATE START TIMES Due to a very full schedule, programs may not be extended for late start times beyond the scheduled end time. It is very important for someone at your school to do a test run prior to your videoconference. WEATHER CONDITIONS All Programs are held rain or shine and regardless of inclement weather conditions. Exceptions are made when field trips are cancelled for an entire school district by their main Board/Department of Education.
