Virginia Tech Open Textbook Workshop application

The University Libraries, Virginia Tech are sponsoring an Open Textbook workshop.

When: Sept 9, 2015 9-10am (online only)
Sept 10, 2015 9:30-11am (Torgerson 3080)

Virginia Tech faculty are invited to attend. NLI credit is available. Any faculty member, graduate teaching assistant or administrator may attend. Open textbooks are not available for all subjects and a limited number of stipends are available. Preference for will be based on textbook subject area availability and match to courses taught.

After the workshop, participants will be asked to write a short review of an open textbook. Your review will benefit other faculty considering open textbooks.

If selected, you will receive a $200 stipend for your participation and written review.

    Additional Information:

    The Open Textbook Adoption Workshop is a project of the University Libraries, Virginia Tech and University of Minnesota's Open Textbook Library. The workshop is run by Anita Walz, Open Education, Copyright & Scholarly Communications Librarian at Virginia Tech. Funding for workshop stipends is provided by the Hewlett Foundation and through a partnership between the University Libraries, Virginia Tech and the University of Minnesota Open Textbook Library.
