Punctuality and Attendance Contract

    PUNCTUALITY AND ATTENDANCE CONTRACT

The college expects every student to attend every timetabled session in their study programme. This includes English, maths, work experience placements and any directed additional support sessions. Students are also expected to be on time for the scheduled start of each session. This will maximise learning time, as well as to prepare the student for the world of work or higher level studies. The expectation is 100% attendance and punctuality. As part of the same process, there will be an undertaking on the part of the college to ensure that all learning activities start promptly, run for their scheduled learning time and that alternative arrangements are put in place when a lecturer has an unplanned absence.

    STUDENT CONTRACT WITH THE COLLEGE

I accept and agree to abide by the college’s strategy to have high expectations of my attendance and punctuality. I understand that I will benefit to the full from my study programme if I attend every class on time. In addition, if it is established that I would benefit from Learning Support in order to succeed on my course, I agree to attend my scheduled learning support sessions. I also understand that any part time employment that I may agree to during the period of my education at the college will have an impact and may affect my achievement. I recognise that the recommended guidelines for part time employment should not exceed 8 hours in any one week. I intend to strive for 100% attendance and punctuality. I understand that my progress will be reviewed regularly with my tutor.
