2013-2014 McCombs Executive Summit Committee - External Application

The McCombs Executive Summit (MES) is an annual academic event taking placing in February that centers around discussion of a relevant business theme with top-level executives, expert faculty, and a selected group of students. It is not only meant to foster intergenerational collaboration by addressing key issues and topics of the modern world, but also inspire participants to examine a spectrum of perspectives. The event brings in high-ranking and experienced individuals to speak on a panel, participate in energizing breakout sessions, and hear a keynote lecture. McCombs Executive Summit will bring over 185 students together with the world's most influential business leaders to share and discuss ideas and initiatives that are relevant to today’s corporate climate. When is McCombs Executive Summit? February 8, 2014 What does the committee do? As a member of the MES committee, students have the ability to work directly and form a bond with the executives. Committee members also enhance professional communication and logistical skills, while learning intensely about the theme. Previous themes have included Big Data, Technology for Mobile Consumers, and Government’s Role in Business.
