All Meadowlark parents and staff are members of the school's Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO coordinates different school activities and services which cannot happen without our wonderful Meadowlark parent volunteers! Please consider being involved. Volunteer
Help with various committees throughout the school year that need additional volunteers.
Home Room Parent & Class Parties
Become the home room parent in your child's class; plan the fall and spring parties with other parents' help.
Helping Hand
Greet and direct students to their class, to/from the bus and help in the lunchroom during the first week of school.
Welcome Wagon "Boo Woo-Whoo Hoo" Breakfast
Help plan and provide food and drinks to the August Welcome Wagon Breakfast, welcoming all families back to Meadowlark for another great year.
Spring Fundraiser (Fitness for Funds)
Help with the fundraiser in April.
GAD Parade
Help design and build the float for the Greater Andover Days Parade in October.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Provide food and other items for teacher meals during conferences in October and February. (Usually catered)
Box Tops
Help collect, count and forward box tops to General Mills. This is a great fundraiser for the school.
Family Fun Nights
Help plan and work at fun events
Bulletin Board
Help decorate the PTO bulletin board in the front of the lobby monthly or as needed.
Book Fair
Help set up and sell books at one or more shilfts during the Scholastic Book Fair in October.
Librarian Helper
Assist librarian throughout the year, shelving books and other duties as needed.
Holiday Staff Meal
Provide items (drinks, food, paper products) to create a nice meal for the staff in December (usually catered)
Staff Appreciation Week
Help organize and provide food, decorations and gifts for the first week in May.
All Star Reading
Support the school-wide reading program
Holiday Caring & Sharing
Help organize the collection of non-perishable food for the under-priviledged in Andover starting after Thanksgiving.
Office Helper
Help office staff with getting Friday folders out and other duties as necessary. Serve once per month or more.
Art Helper
Help the Art Teacher hang artwork in the school hallways throughout the year.
Music Helper
Help decorate for school music programs (all grade) and make signs and create costumes as needed.
Year Book
Work with Lifetouch to help design and create the year book. Help take and gather pictures throughout the year.
T-Shirts
Help order and sell the T-shirts especially during August and September.
Nurse Helper
Help nurse check in students for dental check up day, height/weight day and other duties as needed.
Counselor Helper
Help as needed with Drug Free Ribbon Week (Fall), Career on Wheels day (Spring) and Counselor Appreciation Day (February).
PE Helper
Help PE teacher with Fun in the Sun Field Day in May and sometimes other PE events thorughout the year.
Read Across America
Help the Reading Specialist plan and work Read Across America activities in early March.
