    Job Descriptions

    ~Stage Crew~ Stage crew will work directly for the stage manager and coordinate with Production Staff and Artists to move equipment on and off of stages and into and out of vehicles. Stage crew applicants must be 18 or over, and should be able to early lift at least 100 lbs and be comfortable working at a fast pace under tight deadlines in low light conditions. ~Gate Security~ Gate Security personnel will report to the Volunteer Coordinator. Job duties may include Greeting festival guests, checking bags for prohibited items, working with Security Staff to ensure visibly intoxicated people do not enter the park, receiving donations on behalf of the festival, entertainer check-in, applying wristbands, maintaining a ticket count and checking credentials. Gate Security staff must be 18 or over, and should have good verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with the public independently or as part of a team. ~Crowd Management~ Crowd Management personnel will report to the Volunteer Coordinator. Job duties include keeping walkways clear of debris, monitoring crowd for prohibited substances, maintaining order in lines for restrooms, food, and other park activities, Monitoring Railroad Crossings, assisting in Gate Security as needed, assisting Waste Management staff as needed. Crowd Management staff should be at least 16 years old, have good verbal communication skills and be comfortable working on their feet for long periods of time. ~Facilities~ Facilities Staff will report to the Facilities Manager. Job Duties include monitoring all park trash & recycle bins, transferring full bins to designated Waste Management area, replacing with fresh bins, picking up litter throughout the park and monitoring portable toilet conditions. Applicants should be at least 13 years old, be comfortable lifting at least 50 lbs., standing and walking for long periods of time, doing potentially dirty jobs and working independently or as part of a team. ~Merchandise~ Merchandise Staff will report to the Vendor Coordinator. Job duties include selling festival merchandise, receiving donations on behalf of the festival and coordinating the sale of artist merchandise. Applicants should be at least 16 years old, have good verbal communication skills and be comfortable handling money & making change ~Hospitality~ Hospitality Staff will report to the Hospitality Manager. Job duties will include assisting in food & beverage service to VIP Guests, Entertainers and Festival Staff. Hospitality Staff may also assist in basic Crowd & Waste Management tasks as needed. ~Setup Crew~ Setup Crew will report to the Facilities Manager. Job Duties include assisting in setting up Tables, Chairs, Tents, Stages, Fences, Signs, lights, and any other festival infrastructure needs on the day before the festival. Applicants should be at least 13 years old, be comfortable lifting at least 50 lbs., standing and walking for long periods of time, doing potentially dirty jobs and working independently or as part of a team. ~Tear Down Crew~ Tear Down Crew will report to the Facilities Manager. Job Duties include assisting in tearing down Tables, Chairs, Tents, Stages, Fences, Signs, lights, and any other festival infrastructure on the day after the festival. Applicants should be at least 13 years old, be comfortable lifting at least 50 lbs., standing and walking for long periods of time, doing potentially dirty jobs and working independently or as part of a team.
