8:30-10:00am – SHAPES, SHAPES, SHAPESMrs. Kristi BoothLearn about basic shapes through play, books, music, art, and games.
10:00-11:30am – GOOD EATS JUNIORMs. Sarah ArcherExplore the nature of fruits and vegetables and use them to make tasty snacks! We study the parts of fruits and vegetables, how they grow, and why we need them through art explorations, music, books, poetry, and of course taste! By the end of the week, we will sprout our own vegetable seeds along with a new appreciation for them.
(3) LOWER SCHOOL (incoming 1st-4th) -- July 10-14th -- 8:30-3:30pm -- $320
8:30-10:00am – CRACK THE CODESMs. Sarah ArcherJoin Ms. Archer for a coding bootcamp using Hour of Code, Scratch, Ozobots, Blockly, and more! In this class, you will learn to create scripts out of coding blocks to design and animate your own stories, problem solve with tiny robots using color codes, and program robots to have a dance-off! The best part? Many of the activities can be continued at home. The learning never stops, so let’s get cracking!
10:00-11:30am – JR. LAKERS BASKETBALLMr. Brian HollenbeckThis program is aimed at our youngest Lakers! Each session will involve working on basic skills both as a large group and also in small groups working in stations. Of course, we have to make some time for games and fun! Each athlete should wear proper gym attire and bring a water bottle.

12:30-2:00pm – READ & CREATE: INSECTSMrs. Ann ZakszewskiIn this class we will let the stories we read and hear inspire us to create CREEPY CRAWLY art! If your child enjoys a good book and working creatively with different mediums…then this is a must-do class for the summer!
2:00-3:30pm – EXPLORAR Y HABLAR: INSECTOSMrs. Robynn HornerExplore the ULS campus and discover which insects live here with us. Learn the parts of the body, counting, colors, nature terminology, and more through Spanish literature and projects.
(4) LOWER SCHOOL (incoming 1st-4th) -- July 17-21st -- 8:30-3:30pm -- $320
8:30-10:00am – GOOD EATS AND SWEET TREATSMs. Sarah ArcherDo you know how to measure the speed of light using marshmallows and a microwave? Learn the answer to this question along with many more as we study the science behind cooking and baking in a hands-on foods class! Each day, we will study a new food and use it in our recipes.
10:00-11:30am – SOCCERMr. John FritzkeGet ready for a week of soccer and fun with Coach Fritzke! We will focus on building skills and gaining confidence, with days focused on dribbling and ball touch, passing and trapping, shooting, and then a skills competition to finish off the week! Please send along a water bottle. Shin-guards and cleats (if you own them).
12:30-2:00pm – BUTTERFLIESMrs. Ann ZakszewskiSummer fun includes exploring the insects and the beautiful butterflies that flutter by. We will spend the week with a science focus studying and learning about various insects through observations, stories, and hands on projects!
2:00-3:30pm – DANCE AROUND THE WORLDMrs. Jenny AndersenJoin Mrs. Andersen for an exploration of the dance, movement, and music of different cultures. We will be improving body awareness, physical fitness, and musicality by doing the Cha-cha and Merengue, experiencing Bollywood and American contemporary dance styles, and much more!
