College Day Committee Application
The Al-Madinah Cultural Center endeavors to be part of a larger movement of providing various involvement and outreach opportunities to the Greater Minneapolis community. By holding an annual College Day, we provide a chance for high school student in the Greater Minneapolis community to engage in learning about our campus and the many possibilities it holds.
College Day is held during the Education Minnesota Professional Conference weekend (previously known as MEA). The day will include many workshops and engaging sessions, and will end with a night of entertainment. Although this event is targeted towards high school students who identify as Muslim, all students are welcome to attend.

The College Day Committee will be in charge of bringing this event together. All members will meet weekly over the course of the summer and work together to plan and execute College Day. The positions open for application are as follow. Roles are not limited to the following.

Registration Coordinator
-set up a website where high school students are able to register
-manage online advertisement

Public Relations/Outreach Coordinator
-establish connections with Campus offices and high schools in the Metro area

Workshops Coordinator
-contact student groups and Campus offices for workshops
-reserve all spaces necessary

Transportation Coordinator
-arrange carpools, buses, pick-off/drop-off, parking vouchers, etc.

Entertainment Coordinator
-choose talents from student attendees
-coordinate a video shoot for advertisements and entertainment portions

-manage the budget, including scholarship awards
