Xu Xin (徐新) is a professor in the Department of Religious Studies and the director of the Center for Jewish Studies at Nanjing University, China. His areas of research include Jewish culture and Jews in China. He has been a recipient of the James Friend Memorial Award and has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, Honoris Causa by Bar-Ilan University in recognition of his dedication as a Judiac scholar and his important research on Jewish people in China.
